No, it seems it has some encryption so we cannot read it. Opening the game exe with hex editor will find some function but we first need to make it read custom wads.

EDIT: after searching the net, the lua files have been binary encoded :!:
header example is like: LuaQ_

hi im new here, i hope someone can help me, i know you are already move on to the D12, well im trying to merge both svn project and kev patches both have cards missing on the another, some really fun cards and i just wanted to play with all the cards you already done, i update some of the text duel time , add the missing artwork, add the functions missing, but still have some problems i look the cards are are ok but if i change to another deck then the same cards had missing strings , can i do something to avoid those problems? or can i use maybe both mods on the same time maybe with another name lets say DLC_1234?

Kev, I wonder, for D12, will the mods be like the first DotP game where each deck will be custom, or is there a possible way to utilize the game's new deck editing abilities.

I was envisioning something along the lines of there being decks with specific deck colors (in this instance, black/white). When you go to Manage Decks, you'd get every available modded white and black cards and be able to choose which ones to add and remove. I don't know how the amount of basic lands and nonbasic lands would be edited, but it's something to think about.

I can't say anything about full deck editing for now, but I can see a custom deck with custom sideboards.

About lands, there is still no multi-colored lands and colorless lands available in DOTP 2012 (didn't find it) but I hope they will include it in their first DLC for 2012.

Yeah, hopefully with the first DLC it will allow you guys to be able to edit more into the game. Not to mention that it will keep me more busy with D12, but for now I'm still hooked on the first DotP. :p

I think there is a Full Deck editing capabilities in DOTP 2012. Not very sure though but I find this line from SECRET.XML.

In theory we can do that, assuming the sideboard has no size limit. We could just make some simple black/white deck and throw all the black cards, white cards, and black and white cards into the sideboard. Literally every card in the core decks in DotP2012 can be swapped out for a sideboard card, so we could effectively introduce literally every deck by making only 1 deck for each of the 32 possible color combinations.

Although it would be a nightmare to try to actually find cards in that sideboard.

That's true. And unfortunately, it can't be as simple as making something like separating decks not only by color, but by creature/deck type. Like if I wanted to make a full black Vampire deck, it would only show Vampire cards, and in the unlock deck part it would show other black cards, but just limited to enchantments, instants, sorceries, nonbasic lands, artifacts, etc.

But just thinking about it makes it seem incredibly complicated. :?

are there going to be further patches for DOTP or are the modding community moving on to the 2012 version?

i hope someone releases a patch to at least fix the crashes that occurs in certain custom decks in DOTP.
the crashes are caused by certain cards in certain decks i think cuz i managed to fix a couple by removing cards from decks that are crashing.
(crashes occur when drawing the 7 cards at the start of a match)
mainly i used trial and error by removing one card at a time and testing it by starting a match with the deck thats crashing. when it stopped crashing then the card that was removed is the one causing the crash. im not a modder btw so i im just using common sense to fix these.

I'd kind of like to know this too. I'd prefer if we were to get stuff for DotP12, but I would definitely like some more decks/opponents for DotP as well.
