Are you looking for a high resolution scan to base these off of? I can specifically do a scan of the Mana Crypt and book promo Jace Beleren if that's what you need and the current existing scans aren't good enough.machinegun wrote:Anyone interested in creating the set symbol for book insert promo? I have a Mana Crypt with me if picture is needed, although I suspect many hi-res image is available online. The harder-to-find one would be the mythic rare book insert promo for Jace......

I had sponsorship for the last few sets, but my patron doesn't need these symbols anymore. So unless somebody else would like to cover my time (30 USD via PayPal / Set), it looks like I will be abandoning my role as vector symbols guru here at Slightly Magic.
There may be an easier source for the symbols, but I can't figure out how to extract them from MTGO... which appears to have vector symbols. But maybe they're just large PNGs, I don't know. If anybody can verify, that would be great.

I heard there was no set of vector symbols for Commander 2014 (and I could use one anyways), so I did one up.

@Skibulk.
Sorry to hear that, especially if the ones here were all your work. The ones I've seen have all been quite good.

@Darkholme - I also did C14, a couple posts back: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7010&start=135#p170624
I'm attaching Dragons of Tarkir vector symbols, a sponsor contacted me for at least this set.

Guess I heard wrong.
Btw: Why are your files so big compared to mine? (I used Inkscape to make them, as I'm a bit more comfortable with it than Illustrator). Are you using illustrator? Does it just shove all kinds of garbage data into the file?

I use illustrator. Some application specific metadata is included by default, but the actual vectors are unaffected. I'm sure if I tweaked the settings I could get something light weight. I'm not that concerned about it.

Apparently I can't edit that post.
Don't download the attachment I made for C14; gab it from the mega share. That SVG works fine in Inkscape (and presumably some other places) but the adobe Suite will show all of the gradients wrong. Apparently the "Mirror Gradient" setting is not supported in adobe products. The one on Mega has been fixed.

Your DTK symbols look great.
When I import your symbols into photoshop though, they dont all come out as the same size smart object (it detects large squares behind the shapes, which seems to have something to do with how you do the gradients); so I either end up redoing the gradients to get them to import correctly from the beginning, or spend time fiddling with it in photoshop trying to resize it and line it up until I say "good enough".
Perhaps other have had the same issue; maybe for other people's uses, that doesn't matter. I don't know if that would be easy to address in future svgs, or if you have any interest in doing so.
If you're not clear what I mean, here's how I ended up editing your DTK stuff so I could more easily work with it. I should look the same, but be accomplished a bit differently.

So, I had nothing to do for an hour or so, and saw the Magic: Origins promo stuff, and did up a vector image for the origins symbols.
I was only able to find official promo stuff for the mythics and the commons for my own entertainment. You can find it in my signature.
I took a guess at what the gradients for the uncommons and rares will look like; and you an grab them too if you'd like. They're clearly marked as being a guess, though. When I see some official stuff to get the gradient right, I will redo/correct those ones as/if necessary.

Does anyone have a graphic of the pen symbol that appeared on the novel promos like Arena or Windseeker Centaur? I could also use the dragon symbol off Nalathni Dragon if anyone know where to find it.

Does anyone have a link to a folder/package that contains all the SVGs and PNGs?
I recall there being a few ZIP packages previously, but some were only SVGs while individual releases have included PNGs.
The Pen Symbol should be in that package but I don't believe anyone has ever done the Dragon Con symbol.

I can't find the Born of the Gods or Journey into Nyx .png files/folder
So if some kind person want to help me I am grateful.
Using ( mtgjson. com/ ) info, I compiled the all icons I could found online.
( mega. nz/#F!U04TUQQL!-71-mC1ue1WBJZdVaHKKBw )
The folder names are the codes from: ( mtgjson. com/json/SetList.json )
PS: I am a new user, therefore, I needed to add a space on the links
