They're killing off the "can't be regenerated" clause, or at least putting it on the shelf for a while. It's why Terror is now Doom Blade and Incinerate was replaced with Lightning Bolt. Day of Judgment screams "core set reprint for many years to come."

On the other hand, it's also slightly better Wrath because YOUR creatures can regenerate. If you build your deck to take advantage of it, you gain more than opponent. (Imagine actually playing Loxodon Hierarch for its SECOND ability!)

I've noticed a lot of people are upset with Wizards for essentially reprinting WoG, but I like it because the idea that they could have some RELEVANT regenerators is great!

Probably they want to "re-launch" regeneration: it was a pretty much ignored ability (except for Limited, of course), with so many "can't be regenerated" in the most used removal... :-/
