It's actually pretty easy scraping from gatherer (just anything, including Rules information)philjol wrote:... so if anyone knows of an easy way to grab the rules texts from Gatherer, let me know. I plan on trying to keep doing this as sets are fully spoiled and released to Gatherer in the future.
e.g.
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/ ... undant+Maw
If you get your hands on the web-source (manually in your browser or by program e.g. httpwebrequest ... vb.net / c#) you can see that it's always structured like this...
Rules-Texts-Date:
<td id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_MainContent_SubContent_SubContent_rulingsRepeater_ctl00_rulingDate" style="width: 70px; padding-left: 10px; font-weight: bold;">13.07.2016</td>
Rules-Texts-Update:
<td id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_MainContent_SubContent_SubContent_rulingsRepeater_ctl00_rulingText" style="width: 610px; padding-right: 5px;" class="rulingsText">A “when you cast” triggered ability resolves before the original spell resolves. It resolves even if the original spell is countered, and the original spell resolves even if the triggered ability is countered.</td>
You can do a regex pattern search on blue parts and get all Rules Updates defined for a card.
What are you trying to do with it?

MTGJson is a Web site which allows you to download all Gatherer data (plus some extras) in JSON format. Extracting the data you want from those files only takes a few lines of code. I was only suggesting it as a simpler alternative.philjol wrote:Never heard of MTGJson, I was doing the text files so I can keep up-to-date. Gatherer is simple enough for me to use to pull the info needed for me.

Presenting the 2000 World Championship Decks:
From the Urza's/Masques era, this is when even after all the bans people in Standard were playing stuff like this:
Thanks as with previous WCDs to kudit, rotarydials, and ohforf.

The World Championship decks ran from 1997 - 2004, and in addition there was a set of 8 Pro Tour decks beforehand, in 1996. With three years of four decks each plus those eight PT decks left, that leaves 20 -- which means we're exactly halfway through the gold-bordered commemorative decks now.kudit wrote:Awesome! Thanks for the deck. This time around, the only tiny "mistake" I could find is the sideboard Daze in WCD00-03 being named "Daze - S.xlhq.jpg" instead of "Daze-S.xlhq.jpg" to match the other cards.
Also, I am a bit surprised to see only one type of basic land per deck when the decklist card shows several versions (e.g. Classic, Urza's Saga, Mercadian Masques.) ABU Games lists a single version as well. Does that mean that the decklists are inaccurate?

Our current belief is that this is a printing error with the 2000 decks. When we made a pass through previously to find scans we'd missed on our first go-round I spotted this and had the same thought. We verified that the actual physical decks we have access to only have this one land each, though, and the only sources I've found online that list the lands in each deck separately also only list one each. Every other year has multiple basic lands that match up with the decklists.Arcanist wrote:Also, I am a bit surprised to see only one type of basic land per deck when the decklist card shows several versions (e.g. Classic, Urza's Saga, Mercadian Masques.) Thanks for the clarification. A screw-up in the listing is the most likely explanation. I have noticed other small errors with the other decks already posted e.g. 2 of them list a couple of cards in non-alphabetical order.charlequin wrote:Our current belief is that this is a printing error with the 2000 decks. Our file sizes have crept up a bit over time. The files in the official CCGHQ XLHQ release of Rise of the Eldrazi are all about 300-400k apiece.MTGCardslist wrote:Is there is a link to ROE XLHQ?

Hello!
I have a question, are you still looking to scan salvat edition (2005/2011)?
I was looking for a missing xlhq list on this website but couldn't find it except for promo Cards
Thanks

Yeah thanks I checked but I just wonder if the list was updated
I was confused because it says for "deck builder" and "mtgapps"
Is it directly connected to CCGHQ-slightlymagic team?

Tonight I have not one, not two, but three releases for y'all.
First up is Conspiracy: Take the Crown.
This set contains a bunch of neat stuff, including the new-framed draft-matters cards, several great reprints with new art, and an alternate-art foil version of Kaya's planeswalker card (both versions of which are included here.)
Thanks to skibulk for scanning on this.
---
Second up we have Duel Decks: Nissa vs Ob Nixilis.
This set has a bunch of great-looking reprints, with both new and old art.
Thanks to tenminutegod for these scans.
---
Finally, we have the 1999 World Championship Decks:
As with previous entries in this series, thanks to rotarydials for card provision, kudit for scans, and ohforf for initial processing.
Enjoy!

Another spectacular release from the best imaging team this side of JPL, (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory)!
Thank you and all of the others who continue to make CCGHQ the BEST place on the net for all our MTG assets, images & info!
----------------------------------------
Edit - A few file name corrections are needed.
For CN2: "Subterranean Terrors" should be "Subterranean Tremors", "Spirit of the Hearth" has an extra space before "Hearth" & "Shambling Golem" should be "Shambling Goblin".
For DDR" both of the first lands of the 5 for Forest & Swamp should have a 1 added to it, so it should be "Forest1" & "Swamp1".
