That is strange. No lo-res version yet either!

I made these Avacyn Restored Set Symbols for Use with Snacko's HQ Card Generator. I can make the Symbols for Venser vs. Koth, however the symbols posted by Wizards are very low quality. If someone will scan @1200 DPI the set symbol as printed on the cards I would better be able to see how it was made. The VVK box itself has a high-res print of the (modified) symbol too, a flat scan of this would also be useful.

Notice how the U, R, M symbols have two strokes - one thin black outline and a second thick dark gray outline. Now that I think about it, should both of these be white on the common symbol? Effectively right now the black area of the common symbol is larger than the colored area of the others...

I'm pretty sure the symbols are correct as you have them, and that the thin black stroke is just the overprint trapping to prevent white edges if the printer registration is fractionally out.

If you have Linux and ImageMagick, you can do it like this, it worked for me:
Code: Select all
for FILE in *; do convert -crop -5-5 +repage "$FILE" "$FILE.tmp"; done
for FILE in *tmp; do convert -crop +5+5 +repage "$FILE" "`echo $FILE | sed 's/.tmp//'`"; done
I updated my LQ package on http://mark.tvk.rwth-aachen.de/software/forge/ to include the cropped AVR pictures.

missing scans Avacyn REstored
I bought a display and will unpack it in the next days. If nobody is faster than me and if missing cards are inside, I'll scan them.

I have scanned 3 of these cards, trying to follow your scanning howto... but I don't know if they are ok.
