I have posted in a few places about this new forum.
Magi-Soft: Good response from Detonator.
MTG Salvation: Ignored. That forum and I don't mesh well.
Magic-League: Good response, they are nice over there. They even stickied my Shadowmoor topic.
Magic Deck Vortex: Very kind response from Streetz and others.
GoodGamery: I was flamed unmercifully. My mistake for posting about this forum in my first post, but that didn't hurt me at MDV. Truly a confusing and poisonous experience. I won't be going back and I recommend that any sane person avoid that place. I spoke with the moderator and he's a great guy, but he's letting the inmates run the asylum.
MTG Ontario: I tried to register again, but I never got an email notification.
tipo1.it: Malhavoc posted here. It's the biggest Vintage/Legacy site in Italy.

We need to do something about the old mwsdata forum. Right now it is closed and you can see a message "Sorry, but this board is currently unavailable". We must try to REDIRECT people here. Huggybaby, you may enable the forum and hide everything except the single post saying about the new address.Huggybaby wrote:I have posted in a few places about this new forum.

I went there yesterday to check on something. Somehow, there were two ip addresses on the forum already, which should have been impossible. I opened the forum briefly to look at something, and automatically about 10 ip's were logged on. In other words, there must be a tremendous amount of bots hammering that place constantly.
Even after I closed registrations, making new members impossible, we continued to get new registrations, and I have no idea how that happened. That forum was hacked somehow is all I can figure, but I don't know.
I'll see if I can figure out how to hide forums; right now they're only locked, which doesn't prevent browsing.

(Not GH, but will help anyways)
After logging in, all I see is a board titled "The MWSData Forums Have Moved to http://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/" with 0 posts anywhere. Looks good.

Thanks!
I have long ago set "Enable account activation" to "None", but I was able to register a new account anyway, so that software is broken or something. I really want to delete that forum, for all I know it's possible to harvest emails from there somehow.
Is anyone here a member of MTG Ontario? They won't activate me for some reason, which I don't understand. I'm a nice guy, really.

Their in my neck of the woods Huggy, however I'm not a member. I used to go to the site once in a while, but i just had other MTG sites that were my venues for info and interaction with the community. Keep trying posting at the forum & sending them an email request.Huggybaby wrote:

I can't get into the forum to post. When I register I get an email back saying
The site Administrator will review your application and send you an email if you
are approved.
But I never get that one. I thought Planeswlk was a member, but who knows what he's up to nowadays.
Besides, I've learned it's not good form to post about another forum in your first post to another forum.

I think the Jack Assery would be more appropriate.
I'm glad you're amused, I sure wasn't.
We've added almost 100 members since we went public around May 28, less than two weeks ago. We'll see how they fare.
Heck, Malhavoc just found out that we moved, and he has just posted our new location on his Italian forum, so we haven't even started yet.
Anyone in Japan or Australia or Netherlands or anywhere else, please spread the word!

Over 100 new members now, and we're picking up steam!
I see orban just joined, and we finally got Malhavoc over here, and he posted our new address in an Italian forum.
Has anybody advertised besides me? I can't post in non-English forums, let me hear from you guys.
<edit> BTW, when you google or yahoo CCGHQ, we are now the top entry.

Thanks Elratauru, your English is perfectly understandable, and we welcome everyone in Uruguay to participate here. We will start a Spanish language forum for your friends if you think that would help.
