my brain hurts now.

Hi all. Brand new to this awesome program and site and have gotten some aspects to work but am having massive troubles with multiplayer and have several other questions. I've read through the tutorials tried to follow them to the best of my ability and post now in hopes of figuring these questions/issues out.
1) Are the cards that are in the shandilar world game interchangeable? Ive been playing the world game and haven't noticed any gold cards
2) Can I install different 'setups' of this game just by rerunning setup to different folders (IE One setup for world one for multiplayer etc)
3) Is manalink 2.0 a separate program or just the name for this project?
4) I attempted to use the multiplayer guide and when I try to host a game it says cant connect to that service provider (Verizon fios this pc connected right to the BB Modem.)
5) At this point should I uninstall/erase the MTG (97 ver) and 2010 ver that all ive gotten to work is the shandilar game, and start from scratch?
Thankyou in advance. gonna keep reading the forums to see if I can find what I have missed.

1) Shandalar is unmodified, except that alternate artwork is available for some cards.
2) Yes you could
3) It's the name of the project. I think there is a manalink.exe file that runs in the background, though
4) Multiplayer doesn't work and/or is extremely buggy.
5) If shandalar is working, I would keep that install, and install a *separate* installation from scratch and try to get the most up to date version working on that.

my2k is an utility to replace any card from the constructed version with newer cards that can't fit into the 2k card pool limit

ok so shandilar is and will always be whatever is in the install version..Cool.
I am going to attempt to get the multiplayer version working on my home net work...we have 3 pc's here, 2 that are on wireless network and mine thats wired to net. hopefully I work it out because the 5k+ cards I used to own got destroyed in a fire several years ago and this is definately a much better alternative to MTGO
