How to tell which deck you are fighting
by HarlequinCasts » 09 Jan 2014, 03:21
So this is an odd question, but I sometimes like to just do a long gauntlet versus random decks. Its a pretty fun way to test a given deck against a huge variety of opponents.
Is there a way, during the middle of a given game, to determine exactly which deck you are facing? i.e. to determine the deck's name? I know you can view their library and their hand and all that, but that isn't unique enough. Usually I just zone out and keep fightning new opponents, but every now and then I want to try out a deck and I completely spaced out during the start of the match where it shows you its name.
(Or more likely, as a bug hunter a random deck crashes and I never checked its name)
Thanks all ^_^

There's no interface for it. If you're really desperate, attach to the process with a debugger and inspect the strings at 0x7a3614 (your deck name) and 0x73953c (your opponent's deck name).

So what you're saying is, I should take a screen shot at the beginning of each round
Thanks for the memory locations though! Good to know.

Also in the case of a catastrophic crash you can always try to load the last autosave to see. If the autosave is corrupted, I tried to open it in a hex editor but can't see any obvious strings to make out a deck name. (But then again I know nothing of the save format).
