(bug) Blood Tribute doesn't work properly when kicked

As the title says, Blood Tribute doesn't correctly work when kicked. Specifically, it doesn't work at all. The kicked creature was a Bloodthrone Vampire enchanted with Gelid Shackles with the defender ability activated.
Edit: Version was the newest beta at the time of posting, 156.
