Restarted with a change to what the boosters after wins contain. It's now 50 C, 50 U and 50 R. After a win against Jon Stewart, I picked this little goody (see attachment) up as the random rare.

Having some microprose mtg nostalgia, i'm going to run a Shandalar-only quest (world + cards)
For people interested in setting up a Shandalar-only quest for the quest prefs, according to the worlds.txt you'll have to restrict the custom format settings to use only those sets :
Unlimited Edition (2ED)
Arabian Nights (ARN)
Antiquitites (ATQ)
Revised Edition (3ED)
Legends (LEG)
The Dark (DRK)
Fourth Edition (4ED)
On my first battle with the default startup cards i had, i decided to build a red based decks (with some artifact to get some more choice), a very mediocre one as i don't have much card choice.
I battled Conjurer (Easy) , the 1st round i won to my surprise as the AI didn't seemed to be lucky in what he had in hand, but on the second round it went for longer.
Long enough for me to be able to play my starting big gun, the artifact Colossus of Sardia .
I thought this was going to be game over for the AI very soon, but on the AI turn, it played Steal Artifact .
Ouch, now that really hurts.
But i still won that round, because to my big luck i had played 2 land destroyers cards earlier.
And to untap Colossus of Sardia you need to pay 9 mana
Thanks to those 2 destroyed lands, the AI had never enough to pay the card untapping price.
Allowing me , while being on my last leg to still win as the AI didn't had much to oppose this time again while i had some nice creatures coming in my hands in further turns.
But when the steal was played, i really thought it was going to end very badly for me

I decided to get another Ravnica-only quest but this time i wanted to try without any pet or plant from the bazaar.
And it's been really thougher and more challenging as i got 0 - 4 rather quickly.
But i got some interesting rewards from those 4 defeats that allowed me to build up my decks , and now i'm on 17-4 , though many of those victories were very close, long gone are the 2 rounds victories it seems
Here are the 3 decks i've been playing at that point of the quest :
Not yet great decks as i can only play with what i get, but they've been powerful enough for the current 17-4
And it's been really thougher and more challenging as i got 0 - 4 rather quickly.

New Forge version, new quest, this time i decided to give a try to Xyx Theros quest world with the quest setup to have me starting and earning only Theros block cards (THS, BNG and JOU)
I had a hard beginning in which the AI exterminated my poor early deck many time, but it started to change once i began to get some nice card.
At some point i earned Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and so decided to focus my deck on a White + Green one , that managed to get me catch up to my negative win/defeat ratio and finally starting to get a positive one 14/13

New quest, this time with 5 C, 5 U and 5 R in the boosters. Currently at 30-17 and on a 3 game losing streak, tying my high (low?) mark. Still playing with a landwalkers and creature types deck. My 30th win put me up against medium level opponents.

Incredible, sometime i wonder if the game is rigged
The last 2 duels i got with my green white that has proved really great in previous battles.
First duel, first round i picked a grand total of .. 2 lands, a white and a green, obviously you don't have any chance with such thing when no more mana comes.
Second round, i picked nearly a very lot of lands but only 2 Favored Hoplite as creatures, yeah without time to use their heroic ability (damn AI exiling/insta banishing them), no need to say that i obviously lost
Second duel, first round i get another grand total of again 2 lands, but this time 2 green
2nd round, 4 lands, all green, and not a single of my green creature showed up
... again, couldn't do anything other than losing.
When you're in a streak of really bad luck, Forge can be without mercy
Third duel, looks my the bad luck streak is ended, i managed to destroy the AI that beaten me down in previous duel in less than 15 rounds in both rounds.
Good money coming

I'm currently at 30/20 on that Theros world and my Theros-only cards quest
And my White-Green deck has been improved with my various wins.
To the point i got Heroes' Bane and i had no idea on how utterly broken such card can be when you give it something like Lifelink, as in the case bestowing Hopeful Eidolon on it
Each time i give 2 + 2 green mana to double the power/thoughness of Heroes' Bane, after a while it can go really crazy, check the values in the screenshot :
At that point it takes Forge a dozen of seconds for the game to resume working after you click OK from resolving the doubling of the Heroes' Bane power/thougness
And the most hilarious is that the thing despite doing 3 millions of damage does not have trample, meaning something as lowly as 0/1 can just completely block it (though giving the player 3 millions additional lives due to lifelink)
And my White-Green deck has been improved with my various wins.

Now at 82 games with a 41-41 record. Same type of deck that I've been playing with.

Testing a recent snapshot that reduced a lot (unless i've just been very lucky) the amount of concurrent errors, i've started a new "main world" quest with it (without any card restrictions), i got a very bad start
My bazaar money went into buying some lives, so not pet.
And after checking my cards, i was rather bummed to see that i got bad luck as i didn't had anything that i could call good.
So basically i ended with 0 - 11 , the AI was just toying with me and my horrible early game.
Until i started to finally get some good card.
What helped is that i could afford to buy the Infestation deck in the spellshop, that featured some hasted goblins (i like hasted goblins , they're cheap and attack immediately) that helped me with getting an early game that was damaging enough without having to wait a turn.
Then later with some more good pick in post games, i ended in building a red-white deck that i liked and gave me some "fighting back" power and started getting more wins than loss.
After some time i could afford a pet (the red hound) and upgrade it until hasted 2-1 and from there all went my way up to a 16 - 14 with a current streak of 7
Here's my current white-red deck that got me some good "less than 15 rounds" wins :
hopefully i'll get some more goodies to improve it, and i'll probably switch to another one, as i start to have some good green and black cards in my stockpile

Talking about being lucky, looks like i got some of it.
Having got enough gold, i decided to buy a fat pack in the spellshop, i went with a Magic 2013 fat pack.
And in the middle of the cards, i got 2 planeswalkers , the 2 first of that quest !
Where i've been even more lucky is that they're red and white , corresponding greatly to the current good deck i'm using

Decided to join a draft tournament in my main world quest, the one affordable was "Magic 2010" ( there was one "Legends" that entry price was ... 28071 gold ! )
During the draft i decided i would make a white+black deck. Not the best decision as the white and black cards i could draft weren't really the best or even having nice synergy.
Anyways, i thought hopefully i would at least get into semi final with some luck with my 40 cards deck.
Excepted that ouch, my first opponent utterly annihilated me in less than 15 turns.
While i wasn't having the best luck (too many lands coming on the 1st round and not my best creatures coming in the 2nd one), my opponent strangely had an insanely powerful decks, playing elves after elves nearly every turns.
And elves that boost other elves or are boosted by the amount of elves on the battlefield.
So my poor guys were just destroyed by that AI
The amount of elven cards he played was actually odd, so just to ask : is the draft tournament giving exactly the same card drafting condition to the AI as it does to the player or is there some cheating going on with pre-constructed decks assigned to the AI ?
Because wow, if the AI isn't cheating in the deck drafting, this one had a hell of an insane luck in what he picked

The 7 AIs in the tournament are the 7 other people sitting around the table. It sounds like he might have been the only one playing green (or at least not very many other players playing green). So they're all following the same drafting ?
Didn't paid enough attention to the other cards of the draft to see there were that much elves when i was drafting my black and white.
Next time i will not go with an idea on what deck to build before seeing the actual draft, will certainly avoid me focusing too much on the card of the color i want and look more closely to some of the very powerful card floating in the draft.

Picked a Mana Vault in random rare
Having no use of it i decided to sell it on the spellshop
... got more than 70000 gold for it !
