Back to the 5/5/5 quest. I am now 55-65 with the Landwalkers deck. The hard decks are actually hard.

The difficulty with the hard decks in Main World is that they have multiple mox and sometime even a few Time Walk
So if they're lucky, they can already start with lots of mana available while you have not yet played a turn, allowing to play stronger creature very fast.
That makes it more difficult with your giant deck i think, as to counter the hard broken decks, if you don't have several mox yourself, you'll have to build broken decks too

It's good to read a thread like this, I tried to start one a couple of times but it didn't really take off.
I usually play "hardcore" when I'm questing which is to say, if I lose a match, the quest is over. I also limit my re-rolls when it comes to starting pools. Obviously this is quite a short way to play because a bad match-up or bad draw is inevitable eventually, but I find it fun. The most I have got to is maybe 15-0 or 20-0. I love discovering new cards via Quest mode and opponents' decks. I remember the first time I ran into Ixidron, I was like... whatttttt haha
Had plenty of interesting card pools and funny stories. One of my favourite pools had Progenitus and Green Sun's Zenith in (never got that one out) and my favourite story is when Ned Flanders cast Rise from the Grave on my dead Angel of Glory's Rise

Hi I have a question. Quest mode should start from limited inventory. But I can load decks into the quest deck management. If I click save and overwrite the loaded file, which is a bit strange beahviour, the deck can be used in quests.
Is that intended?

New quest. booster rewards are now 15c/15u/15r. I started with 50,000,000 credits. A loss is 1,000,000 credits.

I seem to have an issue where I can not buy the timeshifted booster in quest mode, is this a known bug?

There's no such thing as a Time Shifted booster so trying to buy one wouldn't (and doesn't) work. This is on my to-do list to fix-allowing unlocking of sets that have no boosters and populating the shop with random cards from these sets. Oh well that makes so much sense XD Thanks for the info. I've been playing a new quest with "fantasy" disabled, so no bazaar available and decided to make my card and spellshops only coming from the Innistrad block (the Innistrad,Dark Ascension and Avacyn Restored sets), primarly because i never played with those sets , making me discover new cards and strategies.
I got a disastrous start, 0-4 , but i was playing with "main world", that have some "easy" AI that could be easily moved to medium or difficult, so i was prepared for heavy losses .
But after getting more cards from spellshop purchase (with fantasy disabled i could use the 500 starting gold for something else than bazaar stuff) and post-game nice picks, i managed to build an Innistrad white deck that do not seem too bad as it managed to get me from bad starting 0-4 to 5-5 with each duels becoming a bit more balanced
While the major stuff is when i get angels in play, taking advantage of their Flying and some card improving from losses or new turns, that deck proved to have some nice tricks in my duels.
One is the artifact Elbrus, the Blinding Blade, when i got this, it seemed very expensive in mana for a meager +1/0 bonus when attaching it to a creature, then i read further the description.
... do some damage with a creature wielding that blade and wow, suddenly you're very happy to have this artifact in play.
There is what happens after i got an unblocked angel doing damage while wielding the blade , Dr Watson suddenly got a new guest coming at its door : Withengar Unbound
And in that case, it was just game over, the AI had nothing to block through the Intimidate ability of that powerful card.
Lots of fun for the family
(additionally, looks like if there are more players than a 1vs1 , this card can be really good to have too)
Additionally, Dr Watson deck isn't bad, he can deploy strong cards too, like Kalonian Twingrove that spawn a token basically cloning it, and as Dr Watson have several cards allowing him to get even more forests on the battlefields than only 1 by turns, it can be a game over in the making for you very fast.
Unfortunately for the AI this wasn't enough to save it because as powerful as the card was, it lacked trampling, so i could make use of low cost creatures to block his attackers, while my Restoration Angel , boosted by some +/+ spells was finishing the AI.
I enjoyed a lot defeating this AI that destroyed my less good at the time deck in a previous duel on that same quest

I'm starting to like my deck a lot as every cards has its use and it's solid enough to now give me the lead in my win/loss ration on main world : 12 / 7
Thanks to some very card loot and spellshop purchase with the gold won, here's my improved Innistrad Twisted Hope deck :
My stockpile is starting by now to have some very interesting cards on other colors, i will now try to switch to other deck to diversify my play, but so far the Innistrad white-based deck has been fun, i hope other colors will keep it up

Hello,
How about we share our favorite decks we obtained from the quest mode so people can play with them or against them in duels ?
I'll start with a few
This one is black themed Zendikar block only (no card external to that block), some very fast vampires , lots of damage added around
This one is white themed and based on the Ravnica blocks only, feature Gideon, Champion of Justice and some fast strong cards
A green themed deck with Ravnica blocks only with several evolving cards
A white themed deck with Magic2015 only, several fliers and features Ajani Steadfast
A white and green themed deck set in the Theros block only, features Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and a couple of gods and heroic cards
A red and green themed deck with the Zendikar block only, features some big bad and mana to get them
A red and black themed deck in the Ravnica blocks only, several Rakdos-themed cards with some nasty tricks
black and green themed deck with Magic2015 only , the deck features 3 planeswalkers
white themed deck with the Innistrad block only, many angels and humans, with some transforming cards
Those decks are strong, but not overpowered/broken/p9 and so still beatable without requiring overpowered/broken/p9 decks

Reached my first 10 win streak with my Innistrad block-only quest on main world, got a very nice card for this
very expensive, but you can even play it as flashback, an endgame card, still a lot of mana required.
Hmm, looks like i'm going to move to a black innistrad deck soon as i start to have some good cards of it on my stockpile
