- New Magic 2015 cards -

We have added a branch to our SVN for the new cards that are currently being scripted. These cards are not yet available in this build of forge. Please be patient and they will soon become available.


- Conspiracy cards -
Forge now includes many of the new Conspiracy cards. It may take a few days/weeks before these new card pictures become available for downloading via the "Download LQ Card Pictures" button. - The Mac OS application version -
We can now package Forge as a Mac OS application. You can double click the Forge.app icon to launch the forge application on your Apple computer running Mac OS. This application will automatically increase the java heap space memory for you as it launches. This version does not require the forge.command file and it does not need to start the Terminal application as part of the start up process.

The Mac OS X app version apparently requires the Mavericks OS and is not compatible with earlier OS X versions. People with earlier OS X versions should use the Windows and Linux version and launch forge on their Mac by double clicking on the included "forge.command" file.

- Commander 2013 cards -
It may take a few days/weeks before these new card pictures become available for downloading via the "Download LQ Card Pictures" button. The LQ set pictures tend to take a few more weeks/months to process before they become available for downloading via the "Download LQ Set Pictures" button. Please be patient. There is a known issue with the timing of Leaves the Battlefield triggers and multiple permanents Leaving the Battlefield. As an example, when Blood Artist died at the same time as a lot of other creatures due to a Wrath of God, the Blood Artist should trigger for every creature but does not do so.

Several people have noticed that the cards displayed on the battlefield will fail to be displayed when the number of cards on the battlefield increases. Maximizing the human panel can help to re-display the cards.

Some time was spent turning the static ETB triggers into the proper ETB replacement effects they should be, mainly to interact correctly with each other. This work is not yet finished. As a result there is currently some inconsistencies with "Enters the battlefield with counters" (Not incredibly noticeable).

A recent contribution to the code base should fix some of the bugs that people noticed with cloning type abilities. At this time there is one remaining issue that we hope will be addressed in the near future:
Copies of cards that setup Zone Change triggers via addComesIntoPlayCommand and addLeavesPlayCommand will not function correctly.

The Forge archive includes a readme.txt file and we ask that you spend a few minutes reading this file as it contains some information that may prove useful. We do tend to update this file at times and you should quickly read this file and look for new information for each and every new release. Thank you.

The archive format used for the Forge distribution is ".tar.bz2". There are utilities for Windows, Mac OS and the various *nix's that can be used to extract/decompress these ".tar.bz2" archives. We recommend that you extract/decompress the Forge archive into a new and unused folder.

Some people use the Windows application 7zip. This utility can be found at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html. Mac users can double click on the archive and the application Archive Utility will launch and extract the archive. Mac users do not need to download a separate utility.

Quick question; Will Vintage Masters be added to a future version of Forge? I realize that it's a digital only set so I'm not sure if it will be added here. If not, I'll probably make a cube draft for it.

Unless someone is super motivated to do it, I would slot it in the category of Masters 1-4, which are Reprint "Sets" for MTGO that we don't add in. This is mostly because MTGO needs to sell things in packs, and won't sell a "Legends" booster, and gets around that buy selling a "Masters 2" booster.

Adding it as a Cube probably makes the most sense, because at the end of the day, that's really all the "Set" is.

I would love to play with it on MTGO but at $7.00 a pack, not going to happen. It really bothers me to see WotC charge this much simply because, well, they can.

Is that really how much they cost in the store? Or are you saying they cost 7 tickets? If it's the latter, it's technically not WOTC but the MTGO economy that dictates that.

Then again, if more people played MTGO (which they would if Wizards could just find a way to design a user interface people liked), more packs would be bought and ticket prices would go down. So I guess it's still WOTC's fault either way.

2 bugs previously reported in past versions but are still happening in this version :

bug 1 : in the bazaar, most (only the pets are there) of the icons do not appear :

the icons that should be there are in sprite_icons.png located in ...\res\skins\default\

Last version in which every icons were appearing correctly was 1.5.15

bug 2 : make a quest, go to the spellshop and change the spellshop display to Image :

Then leave the spell shop and go to make a duel in that quest, win or lose is not important.

Now go back to the spellshop and the spellshop will now display no cards :

The only way to have the cards image to appear in the spellshop is to one of those two things :
- enable and disable one of the filters by clicking on any of those buttons :

- or change display to Text then back to Image

This will make all the card and their corresponding image being displayed again
probably outdated by now so you should avoid : Innistrad world for Forge (updated 17/11/2014)

Is that really how much they cost in the store? Or are you saying they cost 7 tickets? If it's the latter, it's technically not WOTC but the MTGO economy that dictates that.

That's how much they cost in the online store, which you can pay for just like anything else there, in money or in tickets. So yes, they're either $6.99 or 7 tickets per booster pack.

Also if I want to participate in a regular block draft, say a Theros block draft, I can choose to buy one pack each of Theros, Born of the Gods and Journey into Nyx @ $3.99 each and 2 event tickets or simply use 14 event tickets instead. The cost for both ways to enter are the same.

as usual , you can continue to play but the display does not refresh correctly anymore until shutdown/restart of Forge

I played Chronicler of Heroes and despite i have a creature ( Fleecemane Lion and Fabled Hero ) with a +1/+1 counter, it does not make me draw a card

On another duel, it worked, i had 2 Snake of the Golden Grove that the AI didn't paid tribute for, and so each had 3 +1/+1 counters on them.
I played Chronicler of Heroes and it worked, i got to draw a card.
probably outdated by now so you should avoid : Innistrad world for Forge (updated 17/11/2014)
