Issue with declaring blockers

When AI declares attackers, and I use any isntant or ability to introduce in the game a creature, I can't declare it as a blocker. Am I missing something?

You have to bring the creature into play before the Declare Blockers step starts, which means you need to cast it during the Declare Attackers step. You may not have this phase set to stop, which would definitely cause this problem.

Ok, I've downloaded the latest version of Forge and now it seems to stop in the Declare attackers phase, I still need to try it in combat but looks good

You just click on the phase icon. Green will stop, red will skip. If you are color blind (particularly RG colorblind) I recommend, switching your theme for a more friendly color scheme.
