Forge Crash on loading.

Postby LehnDawg » 26 May 2016, 17:47

I've been having trouble opening Forge for the past few days. Every time, as the application is loading the quest data, it encounters this bug. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Couple of things. First, there's a more updated version than what you are using. Second, you'll need to delete your quest save and remove the .bak from the backup of the quest save. Your quest data got corrupted.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I've been looking for a newer version but haven't found a mac client since 11/05/15. Also, I haven't been able to find the .dak file on my hard drive. When was the newer version released? And, where are the quest save files located on a mac?

There's a topic for the most recent version near the top of the first page of the Forge forum. Your quest saves will be in $home/Application Support/Forge.

For some reason, Forge is not appearing in my application support folder. Also, though I'm able to delete the program, some reason there are traces still left behind, as if the memory is backed up somewhere else. Do you know where I could find that so I can wipe the whole application clean and redownload it?
