Can't Install - Update files with code 56

Hi,

When I run the updater, it fails with the following log file:
11:45:36 Updater started
11:45:36 Command line:
11:45:37 Downloading Update.txt
11:45:38 File scan started
11:45:38 File scan finished
11:45:38 Downloading libcroco-0.6-3.dll
11:45:38 Download error 56
11:45:41 Updater closed


What can I do to fix this?

Strange error. Are you behind a proxy or something? Very unstable connection? Try to restart update procedure several times.

I've tried several times since, but it keeps failing there. I'm not behind a proxy and I can DL many of the other files - almost all(~650) of them actually.

Is there a way I can DL the current version without using the updater?

HI,

That worked but I ran into another file not being able to DL: libpangocairo-1.0-0.dll.

I was able to DL a bunch more files before hitting that.

I also turned my virus scanner off, and it still wouldn't DL.

Maybe you could upload this file as well?

If I run into issues again, I will try a different computer and transfer the files over.

I noticed that when I was updating that I kept running into download errors and would constantly have to restart the update. I also have noticed when uploading files to the contrib folder I am getting disconnects and reconnects. I don't know if both sets of data is stored at the same location but thought I would mention it.

I'm constantly connected and transferring data to various places, work from home office a lot with the company I work for, and the only place I'm seeing problems seems to be here . Everything always seems to reconnect and resume but past experience tells me that resuming isn't always perfect.

I have a similar issue.
After having to download some files manually to finish a update, every time I start Magic Album I get a message that there is a new version and if I want to update.
If I say yes, the updater end in error, "can´t download file". With no further information. Looking at the logs.
Magic Album log:
10:23:33 Update check started
10:23:33 Update check ended with code 2

Updater.log:
10:23:48 Download error 22
10:24:52 Updater closed

What file failed? I can't even see that to download it manually.

Very strange. 22 means that server returns error 400+. Try to download the file manually:

Torrent files are blocked on the network
For some reason I did not associate the error with the file, since it says "File scan finished" just after.
Perhaps the log could be structured differently?
To the untrained eye it seems to fail on the next file after "Pictures.torrent"
