Cannot paste any cards from the Mirrodin Set

In Magic Workstation, whenever I attempt to paste a deck from clipboard that includes Mirrodin [MR] cards, I get an error message that says cards not found in base, and shows the line of text with the set replaced as Mirage [MI]. Even without the set identifier, it still fails to import any Mirrodin card from the clipboard. It is only and always this set. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the master base that others use without problems.

Example

Pasting this line from a decklist:

4 [MR] Chrome Mox

Gets the following error:

This card wasn’t found in the base(s):
4 [MI] Chrome Mox ()

The proper card is in the base, and can be selected from the base. I am having this problem with both my desktop and laptop, using the slightlymagic base. It's driving me nuts, I just reinstalled on the laptop (and ended up running into the theme crash for my efforts). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help, but I wanted to say you've given a very nice description of the problem, so thank you for that.
Are any other sets affected, and have you asked and searched over at Magi-soft forums?

I have, and it seems to be the exact problem that happened with PLC a while ago, but just with Mirrodin, and I guess, just to me.

It's unlikely that it only affects you.

The error mentions [MI], that seems too close to [MR] to be a coincidence.

Goblin Hero is out of town for a few days, he won't be able to check into it until his return.

Have you tried Mahamoti D's base?

That said, trying to paste just a Chrome Mox, still fails. Also, I tried pasting just 1 Ornithopter from clipboard, with no set and with MR it fails, with R it pastes.

I have the same thing happening with both databases, I am beyond confused that 1 decklist pastes and not the other.

A newest wrinkle, if I remove ALL the sets from the decklist that didn't work, it will paste just fine. However, pasting just a single card from Mirrodin will still fail with or without a set. What a mess.
