It can be a challenge. I am facing a similar situation in trying to increase the difficulty of the Jack Sparrow 3 deck.

There may be deck themes that can not be made a tier 3 or 4 deck. Then again, there may be some themes that are hard to scale down to a tier 1 deck.

And in the end that may be OK. We may give it our best shot and then after the attempt was made decide that some decks will only work at one or two of the tiers.

Fetchlands, Liliana Vess and Gwyllion Hedge-Mage don't fit the theme.

Possible additions: Souls of the Faultless, Kabira Crossroads, maybe Soul Link.

Swords to Plowshares and Vindicate are strong, even though the AI may use them too early. To further push the theme, maybe you can replace some of them with: Solemn Offering, Terashi's Grasp, Sever Soul or Exile.

Fetchlands just make every deck more competitive.
Liliana Vess was there for lategame.
Gwyllion Hedge-Mage was a midgame card that can be replaced.
I thought that it might give some diversification to the deck.

The additions seem really weak for a level 3 deck.
I looked at the crossroads for a while but coming in to play tapped could just cause too many problems.

Maybe this can become a tier 2 deck?

EDIT: I just noticed Standstill in Aquaman 3. The AI will just trigger it without a blink. Can I replace it with some spot removal?

Aquaman 3 has a Standstill. I do not believe that the AI will check to see if there is a Standstill in play before it casts a spell. You may want to look for a replacement for this card.

A few Standstill spells in a tier 1 deck might be OK as this could help to tone down a deck which otherwise would be too strong for a tier 1 deck.

Oh, I see the two of you noticed the same thing. :D

This is a fine level 2 deck Corwin, well done!

A level 3 deck of the same opponent could have cards like:
Wilt-Leaf Liege
Safehold Duo
Oversoul of Dusk
Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers

I play tested the GW 2 deck and enjoyed the deck. A nice design.

What should we call this deck. The third message in this topic has an archive with some unassigned icon pics. We could use one of them.
