I added the ability to upload snapshot builds to ftp.cardforge.org.

Code: Select all
mvn clean install deploy -P windows-linux,osx
This will upload a 1.1.x-SNAPSHOT build to the ftp server. It does not tag the source nor iterate the version number so it is good for nightly builds. Take a look in ftp.cardforge.org/snapshots to see how it would look. I did a simple build (i.e. jars only as a test) and it was uploaded via Maven.

do any of the developers speak fluent German?
I'm german. Which text should I translate?

Bitte sehr ;)

Code: Select all
ErrorViewer/show=Stack Report
ErrorViewer/title=Crash Report
   \n\
   %s\n\n\n\
   Version:\n\
   %s\n\n\
   OS: %s Version: %s Architecture: %s\n\n\
   Java Version: %s Vendor: %s\n\n\
   Detailed error trace:\n
I have changed ErrorViewer/show back to "Stack Report". German-speaking programmers are familiar with "stack", and "Stapel" would confuse them, as well as those who think about the magic stack.
Also, I changed the details at the bottom back to English, as this is mostly for the developers and not the users. (The german version of that was fine, btw. "OS" would be "BS", but "OS" is just as common around here ;))

where's the "trust me, that will work!" switch for the compiler?

Dave,

The releases FTP account has its home directory in:
cardforge.org/releases/

There is now a folder:
cardforge.org/releases/releases

There is also the following under the snapshots folder:
cardforge.org/releases/snapshots/forge/forge/1.1.2-SNAPSHOT/

There are multiple jars under that folder, but no /res/ data.
The Force will be with you, Always.

Rob, I added the /releases and /snapshot directories so I could separate the two types of releases. The "forge/forge/1.1.2-SNAPSHOT/" is generated automatically by Maven when it does a release. The current snapshot in the ftp repo was only a test, I did not upload a full release on purpose. I will delete the test snapshot and can upload a full one.

that is fine. i think we're going to eventually change that menu item again in the far future.

Vielen Dank! (many thanks!)

we figured it was almost right, but didn't want it to sound like something that was obviously not written by a native speaker. the minor rearrangement of the words and vocabulary choices were exactly what we were looking for.

the original message was written with the informal <<du>>, but i changed it to formal <<Sie>>. we're asking a favor from a stranger, after all.

did you find our attempt funny at all? bad translations can be hilarious . . . the english translation of Zero Wing being a classic example.
