Campaign game mod

i liked the shandalar adventure game so much that i am not playing manalink at all and therefor only have the original cards.
Now i wonder if it would be possible to write an interface that simulates an adventure game mod and just starts manalink and the deck generator with parameters.
Has anyone ever tried something like this? Do you think it would work this way?
