Share your decks in .dck form

Postby Strannik » 31 Aug 2009, 15:42

Hey guys, finding ManaLink 2.0 was the event of the year for me. My girlfriend and I loved to play MTG of Microprose casually in multiplayer but we got tired of the decks there. Now that we have almost 2000 cards the possibilities are countless.

However, neither of us has the skill nor the patience to make decks and I was wondering if people would be willing to share their decks in .dck form. We love playing decks that we don't know, and learn to use them.

Looking in the forum I found a the following thread:

- Post Your Favorite Vintage/Type 1 Decks

Where most decks are typed as opposed to them being in .dck form.

Here is a compilation of the posts that have decks in .dck form:

- 50 decks by Salbei
- 142 decks by Scythe000
- 2 decks by Somacat
- 2 decks by Thedrigo
- 20 decks by Somacat

Update 1-Sep-2009, some more I found on the Deck Collections? thread:

- 28 decks by Mathusalem
- 1 deck by Kcua_626
- 3 decks by Al3XD

2nd Update 1-Sep-2009, the first one shared in this thread!

- 142 decks by Aww1979 (May contain some overlap)

So thanks a lot to those that posted decks and thanks in advance to those that will =D>

I checked but the decks are typed and not uploaded as .dck files. However, I found some more and added them to the list

I don't know a proper free place to upload files, so for the first 10 customers, you get...

http://rapidshare.com/files/274469762/Playdeck.zip.html

That's everything I have. Some of it is upwards of 10 years old, and some of it was from this forum, so you will get some overlap with the above posts. I've got netdecks, tournament winners, world championship decks, some of my brother's decks, and mostly my own decks, ranging from silly to themed to combo to T1 tournament quality. Most of the netdecks/tournament decks have some sort of comments in the file, usually to indicate what I had to change due to cards not being implemented, but I tried to stay as faithful to the creator's intent with usage, mana curve and theme, where applicable.

edit: if an 11th person wants it, I'll just upload it again :p

Excellent Aww1979! I have a better hosting, it's called dropbox and it's for free I will use it to host your decks.

If anyone wants Aww1979's decks here is an alternative source:

Ok, thanks. Usually I like the decks when they're posted in paragraph form, rather than a file, because then I can see what it is and know if it's something I'd use or not. I don't need the decks to be some 1337-style T1 thing, but I do like them to actually be playable and enjoyable, as well as something I haven't already done, so I like to see them beforehand.

Maybe what I'll do is if I make some I particularly enjoy and think the community would like, I'll do both; post it in paragraph form, and then a download link.

Pretty basic deck using the Baneslayer Angel:

;T2 - Baneslayer
;
;#oldgames
;
;03/09/2009
;1
;4th Edition
;

.1585 4 Baneslayer Angel
.1562 4 Honor of the Pure
.1933 4 Figure of Destiny
.1558 4 Elite Vanguard
.807 4 Ajani Goldmane
.1453 4 Spectral Procession
.1414 4 Knight of Meadowgrain
.1941 3 Ranger of Eos
.1943 2 Reveillark
.588 4 Path to Exile
.1950 4 Windbrisk Heights
.188 19 Plains

I only played it a couple times; I got manascrewed the third game and quit :p It's type II legal as far as I know, though I could be mistaken, since I don't know much about the environment. It feels like T2, though; no abusive moxen or whatever.

;5cc Control PW Shrine
;
;#oldgames
;
;01/09/2009
;1
;4th Edition
;

.807 1 Ajani Goldmane
.802 1 Garruk Wildspeaker
.804 1 Jace Beleren
.809 1 Chandra Nalaar
.808 1 Liliana Vess
.815 1 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker*
.720 4 Mana Drain
.1717 4 Force of Will
.1 1 Ancestral Recall
.499 1 Brainstorm
.249 1 Time Walk
.62 1 Demonic Tutor
.10 1 Balance
.17 1 Black Lotus
.1084 1 Merchant Scroll
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.166 1 Mox Jet
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.169 1 Mox Sapphire
.202 1 Regrowth
.230 1 Sol Ring
.441 1 Thirst for Knowledge
.333 1 Vampiric Tutor
.1744 1 Honden of Cleansing Fire
.1749 1 Honden of Infinite Rage
.1747 1 Honden of Life's Web
.1748 1 Honden of Night's Reach
.1745 1 Honden of Seeing Winds
.438 1 Library of Alexandria
.528 1 Strip Mine
.258 4 Underground Sea
.252 2 Tropical Island
.254 2 Tundra
.266 2 Volcanic Island
.1487 4 Polluted Delta
.822 1 Ajani Vengeant
.823 1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant*
.331 1 Imperial Seal
.312 1 Ponder
.1937 4 Maelstrom Pulse
.1302 1 Vindicate

Now THIS one is fun :p All the planeswalkers, all the hondens, and a bunch of control and tutors. It's a different game every time :p Some interesting synergies exist, too; for instance, Jace and Liliana's abilities match really well. Gave the AI an extra card? Make them discard it. Draw a card? Vampiric tutor first. Mill the AI? Animate everything :p (I like that last one, though it's really hard to set up)

edit: http://rapidshare.com/files/275270251/Playdeck.zip.html contains these two decks. Limit 10 downloads

posting six of my favorite not-so-standard decks(including decks for the AI):

i´ve used "code" for a better overview ,it is easier to copy paste that way too.
(click "select all" , create a new .txt file and paste, copy that to your playdeck folder named as the first row w/o the ";" . otherwise you cannot use the deck.)

psychatog

.1488   3   Flooded Strand
.1275   2   Damnation
.528   1   Strip Mine
.1937   4   Maelstrom Pulse

(you need to beat challenge 4 to use the psychatog.)
notes:
it plays pretty straight forward.counter whats dangerous or to protect your board.
pulse/damnation should take care of everything that slips through.
lots of carddraw should provide you with enough answers.
either garruk, lorescale coatl or psychatog will seal the game pretty fast.
AI screws up a lot of interactions and synergies.so you better play it yourself.
i like the "flow" in there and its not as boring to play as other control decks.
suggested cards to add:yawgmoths will/mystical tutor/regrowth ,up to you.

really a no-brainer to play(designed for the AI to play).just got it in my gauntlet cause the AI can´t missplay it while it can get you into a really bad position if you can´t stop it early with creature based aggro.

.361   3   Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
.1191   3   Wood Elves
.12   4   Bayou
.91   18   Forest
no-brainer aswell. the design is simple. toss some creatures into play(walls, mana producers) and then a steady stream of finishers(held in play with recuring nightmare-simply by saccing walls) .once you got the deranged hermit/recuring nightmare engine going it is over pretty fast.AI plays it pretty solid.
the deck version ain´t perfect, i´d like to add genesis but it keeps crashing the game.
the deck is strongest at the late midgame and can be hard really hard to stop.

.1781   4   Loxodon Warhammer
.461   4   Stone-Throwing Devils
.16   4   Black Knight
.239   20   Swamp
concept is simple.draw lots of cards per turn, then either equip your first strikers with warhammer and/or empyrial plate or just swarm the opponent.
feel free to replace demons horn with anything usefull (bitterblossom+warhammer is a very good combination, was a bit scared of the additional lifeloss of confidant, graveborn muse phyrexian arena AND blossom.no fetchies in there for the same reason):P
no disruption or removal in there , so you gotta be on your toes.the AI plays it flawless which is the main reason i post it here.it might look bad designed but the steady flow of cards mixed with weenie elements and strong equipment ramps up to let this deck explode turn by turn if you let it happen.it is designed for a strong mid-game so don´t expect any fast kills.

.17   1   Black Lotus
.239   1   Swamp
.1487   4   Polluted Delta
well this one is fun to play :)
use bazaar or buried alive to get a bunch of hellkites/kokusho´s into your graveyard to end the game with a single living death. (kokusho is legendary so if 2 of them are in play they both go to the graveyard -> 10 damage to the opponent / 10 life for you.)
early exhume on a kokusho to setup the "goes to graveyard thing"/block also is a valid option.
bogardan hellkite can deal 5 damage when it enters the game too ,so you pretty much just have to dig for a living death fast for the insta kill or exhume a hellkite if things get messy.
4 anger in there can be replaced with anthying you like -although they can come in handy they are a wasted slot usually.the game is usually over after turn 4or5.counter decks can be a problem , but are beatable with this aswell.

Re: Share your decks in .dck form (and make it a sticky)

I'm new to the whole manalink 2.0 thing and currently am trying to beat challenge mode. Still stuck on challenge #1 highest I've been so far is the goblin deck and then had the game crash on me a few turns away from a win.

Anyway, I'm trying to make this deck as consistent as possible in dealing with all the aggro the first challenge throws at you. I hate doing well only to lose to bad draws mid-gauntlet.

Any advice would be appreciated. This is your basic mono black creatureless discard tailored to dealing with the ridiculous aggro from challenge #1.

The basic plan deal with early aggro, get a bridge out as soon as you can, get rid of your hand, get some racks and possibly megrims down, sit pretty whittling their hand down until the racks/megrims kill them.

take a look at "Grafted Skullcap" for the Esnaring Bridge idea, mishras workshop will speed up things too.
disrupting scepter or black honden will keep the opponents hand size constant.might try the black planeswalker just for this aswell(+ you could tutor for missing combo parts).

you might want to add green and blue aswell(just add some duals).blue for power(really no reason not to play ancestral+timewalk, maybe other carddraw aswell), and green for consistancy on the land part.
land grant will fetch you duals, crop rotation could tutor you an early tabernacle/desired mana/maze of ith.just some ideas...

also note that there is a thread for the differenet challenges with decks + spoilers. [-X

Some of the decks I posted in my collection earlier had cards unlocked from challenge #1, though most of those are unlocked to everyone now. I haven't made any decks since then except for challenge #2 attempts.
