Tools to make iPad-compliant decks
by Emashzed » 01 Aug 2012, 17:54
I have uploaded a very crude toolset to create TDXs for iPAD decks here :
http://www.mediafire.com/?0vi22lnwx1m573s
( You also need ImageMagick for the toolset to work : http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php )
Some stuff has to be adjusted manually :
The texture size for card pictures + deck previews + avatar "plate" must be 512x512
The texture size for deck images + avatar "heads" must be 256x256
This size is hardcoded in "make.bat" : convert -resize 512x512! %* "%file%.bmp"
Adjust it accordingly depending on the TDX you're making.
makeAll.bat calls make.bat on all pictures in the current folder. They're expected to be .jpg or .png.
In addition, deck images + avatar "heads" + deck previews + avatar "plate" need to have transparency enabled.
This needs to be done with an hexeditor till I make better tools :
Put 0x88 at offset 0x00000007 of the TDX and 0x05 at offset 0x00000008
That's it. With this, and a little elbow grease, it's not too hard to create decks for the iPAD version of DOTP2013.

I'll upload a few iPAD decks I created + the 5 Return to Ravnica decks a bit later.
I made them with these tools.
Check them out in the dedicated forum later...

Thanks a lot
Im having some trouble with a custom deck. When I access Deck Manager, the deck pic and preview card show up fine, but then the app crashes when I click "deck manager". My iPad logs folder has a LowMemory file and nothing else. Are there any crash report logs available that might give some clue that will help identify the problem?

There it is
viewtopic.php?f=102&t=7441&p=95320#p95320
Slivers are fun
To convert a PC wad to iPad :
- Unpack with Gibbed.Duels.Unpack (Rick's tools)
- Convert TDX to PNG with Gibbed.Duels.TdxConvert (Rick's tools)
- Convert PNG to iPAD TDX with my tools
- Repack with Gibbed.Duels.Pack (Ricks's tools)
Sometimes a little more work is needed (rotating images, changing some xml here and there), but that's it for the most part.

I will try
One more question. Is there any possible to make unlock WAD for ipad? The save file is on the GameCentre, so it is easy to lose progress.

Hello Guys, I must be doing something wrong.
I extracted a deck, converted TDX to PNG then used the tool to reconvert to iPad TDX. Saved all in place and repacked the WAD.
Transferring to iPad it didn't appeared on the deck list.
What am I missing to do?
Tnkx

Just a thought, but if you use the original WADs (before the graphic conversion) do the decks show up in the deck list (even if the graphics are screwed up)?

And to be 100% on the same page, you're trying this on a jailbroken iPad, right?
