So, as we have a guest returning, why not have a warm welcome for him with a Tournament?

The last one was not that bad because we were able to finish it without much trouble.

Anyone want to have a hand at it? We have classic tournament expansion based, special modes available (single, handicap...), any suggestion is welcome. :D

Hmm, mono {U}, Esper Control and especially mono {B} are pretty much dominating at the moment (just check out this recent Magic Online Top 8 for example).

All 3 heavily rely on RTR block cards:
Blue: Nightveil Specter, Cloudfin Raptor, Judge's Familiar, Frostburn Weird, Cyclonic Rift, Rapid Hybridization
Black: Nightveil Specter, Pack Rat, Desecration Demon, Underworld Connections, Devour Flesh
Esper: Supreme Verdict, Jace, Architect of Thought, Detention Sphere, Sphinx's Revelation, Far // Away

Of course JOU might improve chances for the other archetypes + rogue decks and introduce some new decks to the format, but looking at the additions those deck types mentioned above will gain, I wouldn't bet on it.

If it has to be recent sets, wouldn't it be more fun and encourage creativity more if the format was something like RTR block + core or THS block + core? Or how about mixing RTR with RAV/IN or THS with SHM/EVE? Just a thought.
