I´m pretty sure i won´t make it out of the first round. The Deck i´ve submitted was a Meta-Gamble (as usual), but this time my predictions where quite off.A few design flaws didn´t help aswell - happens when you throw a pile together in roughly 10 minutes and test against the "wrong" decks.

Yeah, my deck sucks as well, as the name says it is pretty unimaginative and I'll be surprised if I don't finish dead last. Flare is good but would probably do better in group A since it tends to be more control-ish oriented.

I was actually surprised i made it past Round 1. Well its certainly over now - nicdanger got alread 14 points after just 3 reports and there is no way i could catch up.Its like the perfect counterdeck.
Wish i would have faced aww since the deck was more or less designed against that type of deck, prolly would have ran into nicdanger there then anyway so its no big deal.

I think aww's deck would be even worse. Mind Twist is the real killer but 8 counterspells on top of that? No chance.

I'm surprised my deck did as well as it had this time. My plan in designing was to make a deck that the human would very rarely lose against the AI with. I didn't expect the AI to do very well with it at all, but it seems to have done alright, as long as the game doesn't go on too long, at which point it starts discarding everything :p

Congratulations to Aww1979 for his win. =D> It was a close raise between the two best decks of the tournament. This is more clear if you take into account that Nicdanger won the group matches against Aww1979.

Their decks were pretty evenly matched and they used a lot of the same cards, in the I think it's more luck than skill since both of them could win against each other. In the next 10 matches maybe Nicdanger would've won, who knows, but this is the first time we had a mirror match (more or less) in the finals, that didn't happened even when we had a bunch of Progenitus styled decks so these are probably the best old school vintage has to offer. All in all, an interesting tournamnet, it was really funny to see Serra Angel as a power card, especially if you compare it to Baneslayer Angel that has the same casting cost.

Heh, I just went back, and sure enough, nicdanger had 10 more points than me in the group A matches. Our decks definitely were very evenly matched. I think his deck was better in the AIs hands and mine was better in the human's hands. I suspect this is why he did better in group A; he probably got more points from AI wins against the players who didn't advance than I did.

Overall, I think the final was pretty darned close. When I played the matches, on both sides it took a long time to play all the games. I'm just hoping that people enjoy the cards I picked for jatill, assuming they were doable. I think they were Back to Basics, Tithe, Mox Opal, and then some broken green dude that is 8/8 for 2GG if you have 3 artifacts out, and 4/4 otherwise. It was pretty hard to just pick 4, and I'll admit to being kind of bummed out when I went back during the finals to realize it wasn't 10 cards like last time :p I also tried to pick some cards that looked easy to code, rather than some monstrosity like Prince of Thralls or Maelstrom Nexus, which while extremely fun, are probably a nightmare to code.

Yeah, your cards were super easy to make. Thanks!
So I made a few bonus cards.
