Possible to override the rules enforcement in XMage?

Postby Ratha » 05 Sep 2014, 06:07

XMage seems to be in a pretty decent state as far as most things are concerned, but occasionally it has some bugs with the rule enforcement. Is it possible to override these rules and put objects into play, delete objects, add counters, or simply undo a turn/return to a previous phase with consent of the opponent in the game?

Seems like it might be a bit tricky to add this functionality if it does not exist, but some form of debug mode might be nice for testing out card interactions/card bugs as well as fixing accidents, mistakes, logic bugs, turn skips, or mana-taps which were unintended and cant be taken back.

You can start the server in test mode https://github.com/magefree/mage/wiki/Developer-Testing-Tools to add cards to the different zones during a game. That helps a lot for testing.

I can imagine that sometimes it may be nice to allow manual changes in a game (only if some special test mode for the match is set). But I would give other issues a higher priority that improve the rule enforced playing or do bug fixing.
