I attacked with noncreature artifact with Ensoul Artifact on it. Then opponent cast Hero's Downfall and target the artifact. In response i put Retraction Helix on other creature, and return Ensoul Artifact to my hand. Hero's Downfall fizzle, but my (now) noncreature artifact remained as attacker, and opponent blocked it with creature. (During combat damage step no damage was dealt.)

506.4. A permanent is removed from combat if it leaves the battlefield, if its controller changes, if it phases out, if an effect specifically removes it from combat, if it's a planeswalker that's being attacked and stops being a planeswalker, or if it's an attacking or blocking creature that regenerates (see rule 701.12) or stops being a creature.

My opponent cast Treasure Cruise while I had Thalia, Guardian of Thraben in play. He had to pay 1U to cast the spell, despite having sufficient cards in his graveyard to cast it for U. The issue seems to be that effects that change the cost of spells are applied in the wrong order: According to the Oracle rulings for Trinisphere, 'cost increasers' should be applied first, then 'cost reducers' then effects that would fix the cost of a spell (such as Trinisphere).

One other issue I've observed in a past version of XMage is that a miracle trigger did not use the stack, so I was unable to respond to a Terminus miracle trigger with Stifle. Note also that the card should be considered to be in the hand, so it should be possible to respond to the trigger by using Vendilion Clique (and a player should also be able to fetch in response).

FIXED

Another is that I was not able to Divert a Hymn to Tourach: I was told to select an opponent, but the game would not allow me to do so (I'm not sure whether the issue was with Divert or Hymn to Tourach - could XMage be the latter card as 'target opponent' instead of 'target player'?).
