I can't get onto Xmage

Postby KingSorin » 15 Sep 2014, 23:15

I apologise if I put this in the wrong place, (this is my first time on this website). I was wondering whether anyone knew what was happening with my computer. I am on a Mac firstly. I have Java Version 7 Update 67. When I click on StartClient . command, this comes up

Code: Select all
Last login: Tue Sep 16 08:57:56 on ttys000
Computer-Name:~ username$ /Users/username/Downloads/mage-bundle-1-2/mage-client/startClient . command ; exit;
logout

[Process completed]
Where Computer-Name is my computer's name and username is my Mac account name. I have done this beforehand
Code: Select all
run chmod +x <filepath>
, however it didn't work, saying that "run" wasn't a command or something.
Code: Select all
chmod +x <filepath>
This did work.

So: What is happening when i click on StartClient . command is a screen saying Mage with loading below it comes up for a second, then disappears.

I apologise in advance: I am terrible at programming, so you may have to explain everything very clearly, for example, where to write different codes. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me out.

P.S. "Your post looks too spamy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs." This came up, so I had to add a space between all full stops in StartClient . Command, which aren't supposed to be there.

There is an improved install walk-through for Mac users.
Hope this helps you.
