Server down? Any way to check status?

I was able to connect to the public server earlier today, but now I fail to connect and the client tells me the server is likely offline. Is there any posted server status anywhere, so I could see if it's down for maintenance or something like that? Otherwise, I don't know if the issue is on my end or on the sever end.

The server restart at 04:00 CET died (I don't know the reason).
I restarted server now.
