XMage Launcher - Public Beta
by BetaSteward » 27 Oct 2014, 18:28
The XMage Launcher is now ready for public beta testing. If you are interested in testing the new Launcher you can download it here: http://xmage.info/xmage/XMageLauncher.jar
Place the file in an empty folder and execute the jar using java. If you don't have java installed you can get it here: https://java.com/download
Don't be worried if the Launcher asks you to install java again. This is by design.
If you encounter any issues or if you have any questions or even feature requests you can post them to this thread.
Also if you want to contribute by providing interpreted text for you language of choice let me know and I'll provide the list of messages. So far we have English and Italian (thanks again gabriele83)
Thanks

That is also by design. The Launcher takes a fresh start approach and doesn't attempt to find existing installs of Java or XMage.frasa wrote:Launcher doesn't recognize xmage is already installed.
You will also need to download symbols and images again but the good news is that you will only have to do this once. The Launcher will preserve them between installs.

Opps! I didn't realize that LevelX has already put the launcher on the main page. I guess we are out of beta. I'm removing this thread from announcements.
