Seems like there is some problem with the XML ConfigSettings file .../config/config.xml.fuseblown wrote:Hi LevelX, I did install Java and XMage using the XMage launcher. After it didn't work I also tried installing Java and XMage separately and I also tried updating XMage and had it reinstall both Java and XMage again and still can't get it to run. Thanks for your time and help!
Like it has wrong coding (e.g. not UTF-8). Check if it's UTF-8 coded (e.g. with PSPad Editor). Never seen that people had problem with that.

But I guess you didn't change this file, right?
The client does work for you?

The color identity dots, in the pop up window, for Simic Charm show it as blue/black/green when it should be just green/blue.

Noticed a new message today about an opponent being disconnected. It didn't give him the loss when the timer hit zero though (wound up being about a minute after).

Yep, that's a feature not a bug. It can go to about -60 seconds.fireshoes wrote:Noticed a new message today about an opponent being disconnected. It didn't give him the loss when the timer hit zero though (wound up being about a minute after).

My opponent had priority for about 10 minutes without doing anything. I decided to restart xMage to make sure I was correctly connected to the server. I reconnected without any problem, but my opponent's timer gained the 10 minutes of inactivity back even though he hadn't done anything.

1. I can't reorder cards when I scry 3 for example. At least I didn't find how to.
2. My opponent got the opportunity to cast main-phase spells (sorceries, creatures) after my break at (the end) of his pre combat main phase.
3. My opponent mentioned, he wasn't able to put triggers on the stack in the order of his choice.
Anyways, nice tool

Maybe it's not nice, but you can set the order. It's determined by the order you click the cards shown by scry, before and after you push the cancel button.SonOfPhoenix wrote:1. I can't reorder cards when I scry 3 for example. At least I didn't find how to.
I don't get this, can you explain a bit more in detail (what's means "my break at").SonOfPhoenix wrote:2. My opponent got the opportunity to cast main-phase spells (sorceries, creatures) after my break at (the end) of his pre combat main phase.
Why?SonOfPhoenix wrote:3. My opponent mentioned, he wasn't able to put triggers on the stack in the order of his choice.
Normally you get a window with all the triggereing abilities and you choose the order by clicking on the image (represeting the ability). Did he not get this choice? Which trigger were involved?

Was it in the middle of a game or during the start?emerald000 wrote:My opponent had priority for about 10 minutes without doing anything. Ok, I guess, I didn't already understand, how to use the scry correctly.LevelX wrote:Maybe it's not nice, but you can set the order. Under Preferences I can choose, in which phases the game should stop. I have checked the checkbox Main on opponent's turn. I understand that as the game stops when my opponent wants to go to the combat step.LevelX wrote:I don't get this, can you explain a bit more in detail (what's means "my break at").SonOfPhoenix wrote:2. I had this situation:
My opponent has a Goblin Rabblemaster in play. He wants to go to combat and I kill his Rabblemaster. After that he got priority again and could cast another Goblin Rabblemaster before finally going into the combat step.
I can't say anything to that, just something I remember from chatting with my opponent.LevelX wrote:Why?SonOfPhoenix wrote:3. My opponent mentioned, he wasn't able to put triggers on the stack in the order of his choice.

Main means you stop in the pre combat main phase.SonOfPhoenix wrote:Under Preferences I can choose, in which phases the game should stop. I have checked the checkbox Main on opponent's turn. I understand that as the game stops when my opponent wants to go to the combat step.

If you want to stop in the Beginning of Combat Step and destroy something you have to set the checkbox for that step and cast the spell then (green mark).

This sounds like a correct sequence to me. To change phases, both players must pass priority with an empty stack. So he passed priority to indicate he wanted to go to Beginning of Combat, but you used your priority to kill the Rabblemaster (still in the main phase). Since both players did not pass priority with an empty stack, your opponent has priority in the main phase. He is able to cast creature or sorcery speed spells. After he cast Rabblemaster, he passed priority with an empty stack and then you past priority as well, so it advanced to Beginning of Combat.SonOfPhoenix wrote:I had this situation:

It was turn 3 or so. My guess is that the timer reset itself to the last action my opponent made instead of the correct time left. It might have fixed itself if my opponent ended up doing something, but I quit the match since my opponent clearly left.LevelX wrote:Was it in the middle of a game or during the start?emerald000 wrote:My opponent had priority for about 10 minutes without doing anything. If I Villainous Wealth a Courser from my opponent, their top card is revealed and they can play a land from there.

You can try to install xmage without the launcher.
