MacOS not running console

When I launch the client and/or server, the console window opens, but nothing happens. Java and Xmage are both up to date. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Is anything relevant written to the xmage_launcher.log file in the launcher directoty?

I tried posting screenshots and just cut & pasting text, but the forums think it looks too spammy and prevents me from posting. To my untrained eye, the relevant string in the launcher log is "at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:82)
Caused by: java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory"

Sorry for the double posting, but the forums seems to have a limit as to how many strings I can have in a single post. When I run the startClient[dot]command, I get the slash Users string [semi-colon] exit[semi-colon]

I remember some problems with mac os and the launcher versions > 0.31.
I made a launcher config with current xmage version and launcher 0.31.

So to check if it helps you with your problem.
To test open the launcher settings and change the XMage Home setting to:
http://xmage.de/xmage_mac
Then restart the launcher, update and test again.
