Hi guys, sorry to ask but I am a little unclear about this: does this version of the game have extra cards modded into it? Some places I read that there are "hundreds of new cards" and other places I see this mentioned it says that there aren't any.... I own the original disks and I am looking for a way to play this game without resorting to building a period Win95 PC, I want to play the game as close to the original version as possible.
Thanks for any help.

Many popups are cut off for me. E.g. buying a card (this one in particular I know is y/n, but I don't know what the text is on other popups). Is there a fix?

CarlPH's tip has just made my day! The same still applies to Windows 11! After three days trying, I will finaly start playing it right now. I've just registered myself in the forum just to share this valueble (at least to me it was) info. Hope it helps more people to play Shandalar, I myself can't wait to start playing it! Thank you CarlPH and my thanks to all the community!I was running Windows 7 64-bit home and had this same problem. Everything works fine except the launcher and shandalar. And luckily I found the fix just yesterday.
The trick is, to include MTGlauncher.exe and Shandalar.exe as exceptions to Window 7's Data Execution Prevention(DEP).
Note: You must have administrator access to do this
Go to My computer > Right click it and click Properties
At the left part of your window click > remote setttings
Click the Advanced Tab
Under Performance > Click Settings (the uppermost most button)
Now Click the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) tab
Select
o Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select
click add, and browse your MagicTG Folder(Game installation folder) and select MTGlauncher.exe
click add again then select Shandalar.exe
I tested this myself and shandalar should now work fine on your Windows 7 system
