Yeah, I played around with it some more, after testing the second unlocked card, and found it was indeed Mystic Enforcer that round 1 unlocks. I beat challenge 2 Saturday afternoon and this time I saw the message where it says something like "Congratulations you beat the challenge, you have unlocked XXX card". I'm going to try and do the third one today; I gave it a go last night, but I screwed up on the final game by misclicking the wrong land with a perfect draw

Gah, challenge 3 is really getting the best of me. I have quick decks that can function okay, but the problem is that I keep running headfirst into Force of Will ruining my plans. In normal matchups, I really wouldn't care too much since it's usually only a one or two turn setback and I usually get card advantage out of alternate cost castings of the Force, but due to the nature of the challenge, that one countered spell usually kills enough of my tempo for me to die before the card advantage takes effect.
It's so hard to think of what to do to stop it. I had a few good runs with what I call Lifelink.dec, but the Merfolk/MiracleGro decks keep Forcing out my Knight of Meadowgrain, Rhox War Monk, and Armadillo Cloak, then killing me before I can get any decent lifelinked power on the board.

you can get them from magiccards.info. get the full card, then with paint select just the art. "cut", and make a new image. paste the art and resize it as needed to 254x206. now you'll have to open manalink.csv, find the name of the card in the appropriate column, and find it's card number (1976 is psychatog, for example). you should name the image that code, and then put it into the cardartnew folder. you're done0rion79 wrote:Sorry, are the new card art (Serrated arrows & co) available for download? I just reached the 10th battle of the 2nd challenge, and I lost immedietly because my deck, generated by Chaos Orb, contained the illegal card Memory Jar. That didn't make me happy.

Tried the Launcher for the first time last night. Pretty cool once I figured out the install. Or did I? I extracted the files, which came out separately, and when that didn't do anything, I moved the whole structure to the magic\program folder. Then it opened OK, but it overwrote a bunch of files - hopefully nothing too important.
One change is that all my playfield backgrounds went black. I'm sure it has to do with how I installed it, but the instructions are pretty vague.
Tell me if I'm doing this right: I start launcher, choosing Draft. I open Solo duel, and it plays those special cards in a fake game while you draft. After the third pack, I close the "lost" game and find myself in the menu. I open Tools, Deck, and I import my draft deck to edit it. Here, your sideboard is gone, and you are on the honor system as far as adding only basic lands from the card pool.
Then, I go back to Solo Duel, select my deck and one of the other drafters to play a round. Rinse and repeat until you get tired of that deck. I thought it might drop me into an organized, tournament-like setting as does the sealed deck, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
The drafting part works really well, but finding instructions - not so much. If the above is correct, someone should beef up the wiki with it for the next group.

go there :
http://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=888#p9764
download the Duelartnew folder.
unzip the file and put the content of either Duelart or Duelartnew in your existing Duealrt Folder (which should be in Magic/program/).
your background shouldn't be black anymore.
it is important that is is either one or the other, Duelart contains the Old arts in new bmp format, and Duelartnew contains bran new arts for the background : you make the choice.

On challenge 3 duel 7, AI kept milling itself. As I used a control deck he just lost by running out of cards.
