Manalink update 25 March 2015: Fate Reforged

Hello manalink friends, finally here's the Fate Reforged patch!
It took a long time, sorry but I'm really busy with my underground music label. Due to that, I had really little time to playtest the new cards, so as usual is everything in the capable hands of the Bug Hunters

Plus, there's the usual LONG list of bugs fixed (see the attached "changelog")

Unfortunately, the annoying "no fast effect during combat" bug is still here, I'll state it again for newbies:
currently, you can't use activated abilities during combat unless you've an Instant in hand.
To avoid this problem, follow these steps:
1 - The first time you load the game and play the first duel as soon as the duel begins you have to put a STOP to BOTH attack phases (so that will give you the chance to put stops "fast effects assign attackers" and "fast effects assign blockers") as it will open the attack phase menu when you come to that step.
2 - Then as soon as you put the stops in the fast effects you can remove the stop from the attack phases so it doesn't stop there if there are no creatures to attack,for players attack phase this works great for AI's phase it will not stop on "fast effects assign attackers" step though only to "fast effects assign blockers".

Needless to say, for all this our endless and deep support & "Thank you!" goes to Korath, Sonic, Foolosopher, Aswan Jaguar, Stassy and all the others Bug Hunters.

Delete your currently installed ‘CardArtManalink’ folder and replace it with the folder in the CardArtManalink_2012 archive. Then copy the artwork from the CardArtUpdates_2012_2014, and March archives into the newly installed ‘CardArtManalink’ folder.

Also there seems to be an issue with filtering in DeckEditor, when selecting only Fate Reforged (the last line in the list), I don't get the expected card list. Seems to be one line was swapped with another (maybe with Duel Deck Anthology)

Menus.txt is out of sync with Manalink.csv - the last few expansions in the former are Khans of Tarkir, Commander 2014, Duel Decks Anthology, and Fate Reforged; while the last few in the latter are Khans of Tarkir, Commander 2014, Fate Reforged, Duel Decks: Elspeth vs Kiora, and Dragons of Tarkir. So what you're seeing when you select Fates Reforged are the cards in Elspeth vs. Kiora. Swap the "Duel Decks Anthology" and "Fates Reforged" lines in Menus.txt and you'll be fine.

I'm doing that now, I'll release a bugfix patch in this weekend.

Did a new expansion_symbols.pic get left out, too, or should I build it?

The M15 frames are coming - I've got it all up and running (Korath has done his magic as usual) but I still need to do a bit of fine tuning.

I'll have to sort out the watermarks later though - time being somewhat limited these days.
Probably have to do an update for the 2014 Manalink Makeover as well.

Hi, I have manalink 3.0 portals to theros. I have deleted the cardart manalink of this folder and I have pasted the folder with the 14077 older and new images, but this new images doesnt appear in the deck builder nor the game. What am I doing wrong? Greetings

Javatar, have you updated to the current patch (judging from your saying you use Portals to Theros I would say not)? Just adding card art doesn't do anything by itself.
