Manalink Update 8/Mar/2009

The latest Manalink updates are posted here.

The basic change, is that I add another dll to magic.exe, ManalinkEh.dll, not cover in editor (you can't use the editor).
This extra dll I'm using yasm to make, but I'll not release yet the source code, sorry... also, I'll not change yet the dissassembler on editor to cover this...

The changes:
* Wildfire cost fixed (4RR instead 4RRRR)
* Malach of Dawn cost fixed (2WW instead 1WW)
* Tower Gargoyle/Esper Cosmorant now is affected by thing that looks for color (artifact creatures are always colorless, I make a code to paint then on-the-fly)
* Gauntlet of Power added, is a bit more powerfull, for example, if you select blue... blue creatures gets +1/+1 and any island tapped gives a extra blue mana (dual lands/shocklands are affected, this isn't correct at all)

I can add all signets/bouncelands/shocklands now, but i'll wait someone fix the bouncelands (they work, but no prompt appear on screen saying 'select a land you control'), and fix the shocklands comes into play prompt window (i fixed, but people dismiss my changes).

KNOW BUGS OF THIS VERSION - MY BUGS - I MADE IT - I LOVE IT:
* Incinerate removes from game.
* Gauntlet of Power affect any land with selected 'basic land' type, including dual/shocklands.

So you mean it's impossible to use the editor now to add new cards ?

It would seem you clobbered the last set of changes, which included the pump knight clones. No biggie, I'll re-add them, as well as the text.res entries that went missing. I tried to test your artifact painting code by casting Execute on Tower Gargoyle. It doesn't work, but I'm guessing that's because Execute is broken. Has anyone ever used it?

Next time I'll add more subtle changes... :) i like the new 5ed sealed from orion, since all sets is already spammed with random cards, isn't a big deal...
Also, I have changed the boosters of unlimited/4/5/8 edition... they have slight more cards... so, a sealed for two 5ed cores and four 5ed boosters becomes fun... wildly fun...
Isn't a fault, I forgot to say that I did it on first post...
The editor is now updated to 'read-only' the new dll, please, DON'T USE IT to code cards... only manalinkex.dll / magic.exe is to be edited... manalinkeh.dll is for my coding needs for now... (i'll release all the source/compiler later...)

As a heads up, I'll be posting a small release sometime today.
So far here's what's included:
-Fix text for shockland, karoo.
-Fix activation cost for pump knights.
-Add Darksteel Ingot* (lethal damage still kills it... actually it crashes the game)
-update legend rule (sorry old timers)

So, you find the same crash as me? lethal damage = crash...
Ok, Execute is broken here too... you play... do nothing.... i'm looking if slay is broken too... :/ if not, is just copy slay, and change the 3 (green) to 5 (white)...
I notice that there is 2 events 0x77 on consecrate, the first, handles direct destroy... the second it's appear to handle damage destroy...


EDITED: I fixed execute, i copy slay, and chage the colors... now, ask target and kills... the tower gargoyle... patch below... just apply it over the old code at address 004098B0, fits well...

I tried applying those patches and they actually broke the cards (magic crashes). The first line of code in them both is pop ebx, which doesn't seem right. Is the patching system not working right now? Or maybe we have different versions of skyeditor? Would that matter?

Remember that 'SKYPATCH' is the first line on the file...

the code it's looking correct at all...

SKYPATCH <- signature
004098B0 <- original offset
00008EB0 <- original file offset
189 <- code size, byte
58 <- code size, lines
55 <- start of code... 55 = push ebp
8BEC <- mov ebp, esp
...

The patch don't have fixes since a long time... if you version supports manalinkex.dll is all right

I may be wrong, but I think I tried removing the other 0x77 section from consecrate land and it still worked correctly for lethal damage. (I animated a forect woth living lands to test)

Thanks. I didn't include it yet, since I haven't downloaded it (it's also on the currently broken Savefile.com). I'll try to merge it in before I upload, though. That way we'll be all caught up.

My version have entire orion's collection and rarities...

Also, i coded mulldrifter... 4U, play for 2U (cost reduction), draw 2 cards, pay 2 or sacrifice (comes into play)....
