[fix/clos]can't respond to evoke trigger the ETB sac or echo
by BAgate » 26 Mar 2014, 13:22
Describe the Bug:
When you cast a card via evoke you can't respond to it triggering the enter the bf sac effect.
Which card did behave improperly ?
evoke cards
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
2014/02/18: Born of the Gods v2 - DUEL
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
You should be able to respond
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
you also can't respond to failing to pay an echo cost

This could be fixed, but requires a bit of recoding, waitlisted for now.

The same thing as in the amulet-of-vigor branch should work here too. The annoying interface will be even more annoying, though, since if you're playing Amulet of Vigor you probably intend to respond to the trigger most of the time, while with evoke, you probably don't. At least there won't be any need for the invisible effect card.

Oh, whops, I see your post too late.
I've restructured cards with Evoke to generate a legacy card that will trigger when they comes into play and kills them if they're evoked in 816e53e
To order the triggers, just click on the card to activate the CIP effect, the legacy card will take care of the rest.

...how does that help? They already have come-into-play triggers, and you can order those normally. What the bug's about is that you can't respond to the come-into-play trigger with arbitrary instant-speed effects, like sacrificing them to a Diamond Valley or such.
