Describe the Bug:
1- AI attacked with Needle Spires animated and when it dealt damage I cast Intervention Pact I selected damage card and as a result only the first 2 damage from double strike were prevented not the whole 4 damage is this correct?Does "the next time" clause in it's rules text separates the double strike in 2 different timings so correctly prevents only the first strike damage? or just a problem of not selecting the source but the damage card produced.correct
2- AI never cast it in numerous games to save itself.
Which card did behave improperly ?

Which update are you using?(date,name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Manalink 2016/08/27: Eldritch Moon v2, duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
2- AI casts it.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

That's correct; creatures with double strike deal damage twice, not once for double the damage. Rule 510.4. Same reason an unblocked Markov Blademaster triggers twice.

I also had this error when I prevented with Intervention Pact damage made by Sawtooth Loon.
