[confirmed]Cinderhaze Wretch/Scarscale Ritual v both Melira

Postby Korath » 17 Dec 2016, 20:03

Describe the Bug:
Cinderhaze Wretch can activate to untap itself while you control Melira, Sylvok Outcast.
Scarscale Ritual can be cast when you control Melira, Sylvok Outcast, or when your only creature is Melira's Keepers.

Which card behaved improperly?
Cinderhaze Wretch and Scarscale Ritual, as currently implemented. Not either Melira variant, since they're not programmed to actually have their abilities themselves.

Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)
Dev post-EMN.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
Both of the black cards add counters as a cost, and both of the green cards prevent the counters from being added, so the cost shouldn't be payable and the ability/spell shouldn't be activateable/castable.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?
No. Tatterkite isn't in Manalink (else it would have to be tested independently of Melira's Keepers, since everything adding counters looks only for that specific card). Of the other cards adding counters as costs:Mind you, all the "ok" costs are still prevented from being paid if the Melira's Keepers or Melira, Sylvok Outcast in question has lost its abilities. Melira, Sylvok Outcast with lost abilities still prevents -1/-1 counters from being added as an effect, too.
