rearrange table
by PGM » 17 Dec 2012, 15:35
Hello, is there some way to rearrange the cards on the table like in the old Duels of the Planeswalkers, for instance placing a creature just cast on the left of a creature cast earlier?
Thank you.
Thank you.

?? if you cast it always puts the creature card next to the other one or where it was last. unless your talking about the new duels of the planeswalkers which then in fact no.
can I maze of ith your snowstorm?

Maybe I didn't explain it well enough. Let's use another example:
say on turn 1 you drop a mishra's factory. The following turns you drop 10 islands. What can you do to keep the MF on top of the other lands? In the old version you could just drag the card, double click on the table to rearrange and that was it.

This is due to the ID tags I guess, which set the "layer level" of each cards, the higher the ID the higher the card is on the layer level and on the top of all cards.
I don't know if this was a feature introduced by Mok but it doesn't seems to be modifiable.
This number doesn't seems to be the cast order as in this game, I just debug casted a land and its ID was 6

So if I understand correctly you can't have Mishra's Factory in the example as the last card (the one with the visible artwork)on the lands area whatsoever?

Then it probably has to be a problem introduced by CirothUngol who's version most of you have and probably with the cleaning he did to this version to make it lighter and without obsolete files he deleted this file that was needed.
Because mine works fine.
Just in case Stassy can you check(or did you) if it is a Windows 7 problem? As I only have windows.xp.

I tested on xp ML3 old version (not Ciroth one) and you are indeed correct: by just selecting and dragging a card you can put it in top layer anytime.
My previous feedback was with a Ciroth one in win7 so one file must have been essential to sorting card
This is going to be a huge pita to compare both version

This is very strange, I just copied the w7 Magic folder to my vista laptop and I don't have this issue, the cards overlap anytime...

Thank you for your help. I just installed the latest CirothUngol's version on XP and no problem with this issue.

I had to upgrade from XP to Win7 a few days ago and this problem is back, can't rearrange cards. Anyone else experiencing this?
