Er, was that the release you meant to write? Because that would mean everybody. (Which would be ok, it's just that it's self-contradictory.)Sonic wrote:If you are downloading Manalink or Shandalar for the first time, or your currently installed ‘CardArtManalink’ folder is older than the March 2016 release, please download and install the folder and files in the following archives:

Admittedly it reads as stating the bloody obvious - any currently installed CardArtManalink folder will be older than the March 2016 patch at the time of it's release.Korath wrote:Er, was that the release you meant to write? Change it if you want - just make sure to leave the part further down the post which says 'Delete your currently installed ‘CardArtManalink’ folder and replace it with the folder in the CardArtManalink_2012 archive.'
That's the main point - any CardArtManalink folder installed prior to the March 2016 patch release needs to be deleted and replaced entirely, not just updated.
The new archives are up now... you can fire when ready.

Um, the March 2016 release download is not available at the moment... Is that going to be fixed?
When playing, card text is important. Read and understand it. It will usually prevent most errors.

I've triaged the remaining non-Manalink cards. There were roughly 1910 (inexact because there's maybe a dozen that are functionally identical to cards already in Manalink that can't be done yet in Shandalar, so are in a different work queue); 1299 are blocked in Shandalar, 188 are doable but more effort than I was willing to put into them immediately, and I implemented the other 423.
There's a couple fairly large categories among the blocked cards: 90 need proper blocking triggers, 76 can be activated from a player's hand, 71 have an additional cost to cast, 65 have morph, 60 have an alternative casting cost other than morph. Still, since the easy ones are all done now, this should be the last big chunk of cards; I don't expect to have more than a trickle at a time in the future, and definitely no more for the next version (tentatively scheduled for the first weekend in April).

Interim packages here and here for the previous post.
And if you (or someone else) rebuilds these packages at some point, "To Arms!.jpg" and "Giant Caterpillar(1).jpg" in CardArtUpdate_March2016.zip are misnamed - the first needs an underscore in place of the exclamation mark, and the second is short a space.

As I was mentioning in the other, dedicated, thread I finished working on the new cards from Commander 2015 and enabled them, anyone that have access to the repository could compile the DLL, updathe the Magic files and test them.
Now I'll probably add the remaining cards that are in Commander 2015 decks:
ID Name
5282 Primal Growth
5589 Karmic Justice
6068 Blatant Thievery
8540 Fallen Ideal
8936 Grave Peril
12691 Counterflux
In detail:
- Primal Growth: doable
- Karmic Justice: it will be a pain to deal with as there's no way to discriminate which source destroys what. Probably impossible.
- Blatant Thievery: doable, but not very useful in Manalink.
- Fallen Ideal: another pain in the back... Cards that add abilities are usually a problem to deal with. I'll try to approximate something.
- Grave Peril: doable
- Counterflux: could only be approximated, and without its "overload" ability which will be worthless under Manalink (no real "stack" available).

Gargaroz I don't know if you care to release an update but as we testers can't use the repository (don't have developers knowledge to do so)to test the cards you programmed and help you like that,it is better to release the update and then we can test the cards like we have always done.Or you can make a test build and give it only for us testers to use and then release the update with the cards being tested and fixed for bugs which though seems more time consuming and leaves out all others that could report bugs.I didn't want to speak earlier as I thought you didn't want to release an update but I am doing so now in the case you feel we don't care to help you with testing the cards.

Hi, everyone,
For anyone interested, with the Shandalar release today comes a bunch of improved and new alternate artwork. I've been working to decrease the graininess in the images - you can see the difference in the before & after images below. (click to view) These are extreme examples, but you can see what I'm talking about:
Some new alternate artwork:
Charcoal Diamond
Jet Medallion
Chrome Mox (Kaladesh Inventions)
Mox Jet
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
Underground Sea
Links are: https://www.mediafire.com/?nwa4npcvpen9v7s or https://mega.nz/#!GAsXETQb!VToyS2o762Iq8XguPvdshdc0O18vtGVlI0MaTzZE-HU
Also, I'm processing new art all the time, and it's kept in the "New for next release" folder in my MEGA folder (in my signature); I've even added some since I compiled the archive yesterday morning.
