I've collected all the XLHQ cards and renamed them to use in Forge. 300 DPI cards are only recommended for people playing with a buffy PC and a high definition monitor.
Here is a comparison between LQ (100DPI) HQ (200DPI) XLHQ (300DPI)

How to use these images:
1) Download the Sets you want to use
2) Put the sets in C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\Forge\Cache\pics\cards. Tokens and emblems go in \pics\tokens. The set abbreviation is the same as in Forge so "7E - 7th Edition" goes in \pics\cards\7E.
3) If you don't know how to find the cards folder

1) All the sets that don't have XLHQ scans.
2) Vintage Masters needs full black borders.

Out of curiosity, why are VMA and TPR rendered with the modern frame?

Only Tempest Remastered. Vintage masters and Online tokens have the standard HQ Card Generator border. But the developer of that program is currently looking into remaking all the frames as full bordered cards.

Yes, they are rendered with 8ED Frame, TPR with M15 Frame. The reason they look different is because HQ Card generator doesn't (yet) support full bordered cards.

As for the cropped art from TPR, I just auto cropped the art from the Tempest Block and ran the generator. So I don't really get what you are trying to say.

But yeah, the Magic Online sets needs extra optimization.

Thanks so much for this. This art is much easier to look at than the LQ I was using.

Minus a tiny bit of lag right after starting a match, which clears up after about 10 seconds, I have virtually no slow-down and Foge itself seems to load much faster since all of the art is readily available (a guess)

Looks like Shadowmoor got left out entirely, but I am sure I can find some scans.

Looks like Mishra's Workshop from the Vintage Masters set still has LQ art. I've been trying to find a good scan, but so far I've only turned up a slightly better version from a Google search.

Are you sure? Mishra's Workshop is xlhq in my folder.

But I've recently edited some of the VMA cards since some of them had "Magic online" logos on them

Also, the scanning team have XLHQ renders of Vintage Masters and Tempest Remastered. They will replace my own generated images once they release them.

BTW, I changed "SHW" to "SHM", thanks for the tip

Thanks to dodnyjv for uploading renders in HQ Pics forum.

I've cropped, resized and renamed AER renders for my personal use in MTG Forge. Thoes are 200 DPI but the file sizes are a bit big so use them if you have PC that can handle big pics in Forge.

The collecion is missing few cards, but it should be enough until theres an 'official' HQ AER realease .

Just put them in ~/cards/AER/ folder:

First update! I just want to let you guys know what I've changed/added since I created this post.

1) Added "Commander 2016" , "Aether Revolt" , "Planechase Anthology" and the rest of the "Inventions"
2) Added "Masters Editions I-IV" and replaced "Tempest Remastered" with a better version (all credit goes to user Ahkren)
3) Updated the "Tokens and Emblems" folder by adding the tokens from the new sets , replacing low quality cards and removing cards that weren't being used by the Forge Program. (I've used Marek14 set as a template)

What's left to do :

* some Magic Online tokens and Avatars have no 300 DPI renders. (yet)
* My current set of Vintage Masters will be replaced once the Scanning team releases their own version.
* I'm also thinking of making a "Drag and drop folder" Torrent containing all these cards but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that on this Forum.

Also If you want to download the entire folder , I highly recommend using the MEGA sync desktop app. It will save you a lot of time !

Hi simisays, good work! Some of us were attempting something similar in this thread viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17814 . I think these images really enhance the playing experience.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to look for an alternative host or start seeding a torrent? MEGA has imposed a restriction of 1.5GB free bandwith usage every 10 hours or so .

I Known MEGA is not the most ideal option to host the files but as far as i'm aware there isn't really a viable alternative hosting site.

Like I said in a previous post , I will create a "drag and drop" torrent (probably using "internetarchive.org" since they will mirror for free) containing all the sets in xlhq 300 DPI format once I have the complete collection.

Also, I've been looking into ways to remove the white corners from the cards, I can do it individually but haven't found ways to automate/batch it. Cards look much better that way

I have found a way to remove the corners. I have a mask to select the corners and delete them in a photoshop action - then the key is to save as PNG (which is a fair bit bigger, but worth it) then rename to jpg to match the expected forge filename (it might be possible to change the forge filename to expect PNG - I haven't looked - I guess they are defined just in a text file somewhere). If its possible I can attach the macro and the mask image here, although I am resizing to a specific resolution that I am happy to use in my android forge - it may be smaller that you want. I am also using quite an aggressive photoshop smart blur to remove the print dapple artifacts and create a smooth (and so more compressible with PNG) image.
