Hey GH, thanks so much for all your hard work. MA has been my favourite and most-used Magic tool for many years now. Sad to see it go, but I totally understand. Part of me wants to take up the baton, and I do have some C++ experience, but don't think I have the time/dedication to keep it going.
@raph, if your tool is to be an MA replacement, it's got big shoes to fill Looking forward to seeing it!

@nexensis, You got that right. I am working on it now, but it's a pretty daunting task. I know the pain Goblin Hero was facing in dealing with all the different versions of cards, and having to do so much manual entry. It's incredible how much work he put in over the years. I really hope someone else can pick up where he left off. I'm trying my best, but it's a lot of work.

Hi all,
hi Goblin Hero,
I decided to create an account here to write a few words from the "silent majority" of users that maybe use Magic Album for years and only stumble upon this forum wondering where M21 might be.
First of all, GH, thank you yery much for all the work you put into this program!
After trying out several alternatives I found Magic Album a few years ago and never looked back. I regularly put in several dozens up until hundreds of mixed cards. It has become so easy to use and intuitive! What I love most, that it works great with foreign cards as well, since I am german... and as everybody knows, we germans love order
MA is such a perfect fit. Every month or so I crossed my fingers and was relieved and happy when a new update arrived. Knowing there had to be a dedicated human being sitting somewhere behind a desk, working on a passion project for years without monetizing it or getting a lot of recognition for it.
I cannot thank you enough and hope that someone equally dedicated takes over.
raphael75, thank you for making an effort in taking on this project! I hope you make good progress and look forward to try out an online version of MA
Best regards to the community!

If I can help with updating de databases (even M21), no problem.
Tell me what to do.
I used to be a programmer (never in C++) so I know what's it is about.
I have looked through the different databases.
The inventory is a ".mai" file, which is a kind of CSV file.
the same for the decks, which is a ".mad" file
But the databases itself are in a sort of binary ".dp" files, don't know which structure/format it is.
Is it any known format ? MySQL,SQLite, MariaDB, MongoDB, MS SQL PostgreSQL,...
Anyway, I'm glad to help !

@daniel @goblin hero, Should we continue to create missing card bug reports in the bug tracker? For example, it seems that the showcase versions of the Ikoria mutate cards are missing. I can create a bug tracker report if necessary.

Additional cards from Ikoria are already in the work. No need to create ticket about this.

The Scryfall API could help to simplify MA updates. The data is well structured, so a script could extract new card data and prepare it for import into MA. You can even pull images from Scryfall, but that might be more work than you're willing to invest.
