Unable to start OPT
by cc-drake » 09 Sep 2010, 19:31
I just downloaded OPT 0.99r and tried to run it, but it returned an error
Application Error - Exception EOSError in module AndorraOGL.dll at 00008C31.
In the background the OPT window is already open, displaying "Resizing, please wait."
I use Windows XP.
What's wrong?

Maybe a problem with your pc not supporting OpenGL.cc-drake wrote:I just downloaded OPT 0.99r and tried to run it, but it returned an error

Try moving the AndorraOGL.dll file somewhere else so that it will use AndorraDX93D.dll instead, which uses DirectX to run OPT. If that doesn't work, you may want to update video card drivers and verify that it supports OpenGL and/or DirectX

Hey, thanks for that quick reply. Updating the videodrivers worked and now all's fine

Hey, I got the next error: After switching "Use The Stack" on, playing a spell via double click puts the spell on the stack but causes the following error:
Access violation at address 0059600A in module 'OPT.exe'. Read of address 00000158.
After clicking 'OK' the game continues at normal.

Just turn of "Use the stack" for now.

Heelo. I hope to try 0.99s today.
Right agter start I get
"ExceptionEAccessViolation in module OPT.exe at 6ADE50FB.
Access violation at address 6ADE60FB. Read of address 6ADE60FB."
"50" and "60" are not typos.
OS id Windows 7.
P.S. Loaded successfully on third or fourth try.

Are you in a virtual environment?
Did you run it straight from the zip file or did you properly unpack first.

I did nothing. No installing or uninstalling applications or ddls.
I'm not using virtual machine. I run the program after properly unpacking it.
UPD:I'll post more info when and if I would find some pattern or conditions that affects it.

opt is native windows 32bit exe, no framework.
optserver is .net framework 2.0 so everyone has that installed.
