Sadly the old thread is lost (?) so I can't check if I fixed all the problems listed in it.
http://magiccards.info/in/en/340.html - Not a ten page long list anymore, but the five newest editions and the one it is printed in. Plus a list of versions with card number (I'll probably add the artist to there) so you can easily switch.
Top of every card two links to the next and previous card in the set...
Bit more sophisticated search page, Oracle wordings straight from Gatherer (also looking to maybe include the Gatherer "Official Rulings"...!)
We might move servers in the next few weeks, lots more bandwidth so I can maybe even host the very large scans ("Detail View" or something).
Phew

Would you consider making some kind of web based service for the magic cards? This would help greatly for games/programs that could use your service like a database (it would be nice if Incantus could pull images from you guys).
For example, I could submit a URL like:
http://magiccards.info/in/en/340/HQ
and receive the High Quality scan, or:
http://magiccards.info/in/en/340/oracle
to get the oracle text for that card (maybe in XML or JSON or something similar). Is your website dynamically generated?

Yeah, that's right, the old one at MWSData. I think it was several pages but I got distracted and then it was goneHuggybaby wrote:Which thread is that? Of course it is dynamically generated (a lot of cached stuff tho :p)incantus1 wrote:Would you consider making some kind of web based service for the magic cards? Many many users request a copy of my database or some sort of API. I have just been very reluctant until now and never handed out a copy (if I do it once I have to do it for everyone). Keeping a public copy up to date with updates is a nightmare, and an API, API Keys, gives me nightmares too
Anyway, I've been thinking of making my database public once I reach completion (read: all card names/types/texts in all languages) so I can get it out to as many users as possible and fix all the errors.

you're missing the 3 goblins v elves tokens, which we did. Also, the betas are meant not to be rebordered - they already have the black border, and you added another one, which makes them smaller than the others.

Didn't find them in the Token package?extreme wrote:you're missing the 3 goblins v elves tokens, which we did. Also, the betas are meant not to be rebordered - they already have the black border, and you added another one, which makes them smaller than the others.
And I didn't edit the Beta scans, I got them that way. I'll ask PresetM about it.

That's the question. We agree, 'the inner' border belongs to the card face, therefore this 'border' isn't a border.and you added another one, which makes them smaller than the others.
So it seems logical to add the normal black border. And of course, the Beta cards have a thicker border if you include the 'inner' border, that means: the card face is smaller than that one of other Magic cards.
The only problem is the added border of our HQ scans. As example, Fallen Empires and Ice Age cards have a less thicker border than cards from other sets. That means, the card face is bigger. But all of our HQs have the same border and size and this is definitely wrong and therefore not recommended (same size is ok, but not the same border).
