Enlarged Bolded Text

Postby kingpin » 11 Jul 2011, 23:03

Right after I updated to the latest patch I noticed that the card text are larger and bolded unlike previous.

It's kinda annoying not able to read the rest of the cards' description because of the enlargement.

They remind me of Portal cards and it makes them look less intimidating.

And plus, no one likes right-clicking and expanding the text box all the time.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

This isn't happening to me, so I suspect you've missed something, but I really don't know what. Maybe some updates to the graphic parts were did in the period I was absent from the forum (Worldwake-Rise of Eldrazi).

Browse to the following file:

c:\Magic\Duelart\Duel.dat

You can change the font and fontsize in there.

Cool, thanks a bunch Salbei. I should've known to check out the .dat file.

I used to fool around with it in the Dark Reign game.

I discovered the root of the problem. It was the window's service pack 3 updates.

DO NOT let windows install it. I read from many articles that it has an effect on fonts.

Many people also had issues uninstalling it and reverting windows back to its original state.

Even "system restore" or "windows installer cleanup utility" won't help it.

So at least I can just make some tweaks in the .dat file and make the game pretty.
