Magic Album - Program Bugs

Program freezes intermittently (support request)

I have been encountering an issue where searching through my collection and just scrolling down has some delays and the program states "not responding" multiple times. I see the program is taking up 240 MB of memory so I am not sure if that is a lot or not. As I am trying to go through my collection and move a bunch of cards into a Secondary Collection, it is annoying that the program keeps freezing fairly frequently.

Memory consumption is ok. But freezes are not. All card data is loading into memory at start except graphic elements and pictures. When you start scrolling set icons are loaded at demand.
Do you use network disk or something?
What OS do you have?
Try do disable antivirus temporary if you have one.

I had been running it off Google Drive (didn't even realize it) so I moved it to a local disk with the Inventory still running off Google Drive. Nothing changed.

I then moved the folder to another drive (in case there is something wrong with the previous one) and still had the same problem.

I then moved the Inventory files to the same drive and I still had the same problem. So, now, everything is running from one of my local drives.

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

I disabled Virus Scan and it seemed to perform better but it does still freeze every so often.

Does it freeze while you drag the scrollbar with the mouse? Or then the new card is selected (cursor, PgUp, PgDn, etc)?
Try to close "Scanned Picture" and "Rendered Picture" panes.

It would freeze when typing a card name in (to search for a card) and also when selecting cards to move to a Secondary Inventory.

Playing around with it some more, I found a significant delay when trying to display the art for Magma Spray from Shards of Alara. Then when it did respond, the image was messed up.

I tried to access the image directly and got an OS error. It appears that this at least part of the issue (I would be inclined to believe it is the entire issue). I then tried to copy the images to another location and got a bunch of errors with certain ZIP files. I skipped over those and pointed the application to the new Images folder and it seems to be working better.

I am not sure if the issue is just corrupted images or if there is a larger issue of potential disk failure.

As of now, I am re-downloading the images and I am running the application and storing the images on a different drive to see if the issue comes up again.

Disk/file errors can cause the problems for sure. Do as you say and if the problem stays - reopen the ticket.
