For the database and inventory I suggest an option in the preferences to change the way in which the entries are ordered when sorted by set. Presently, it seems to be only alphabetical by set code. In addition to that, I propose two other sorting methods:

1) By type and date -- First, sorted into groups such as core/expansion/promo/special, then by release date (this would be in the same order that is shown when "view as tree" is ticked in the filter and all levels are expanded)

2) Strictly by date -- Just going by the release date of the set (as shown by "view as list" in the filter)


I think these two ordering methods are much more pertinent to the typical Magic player/collector than an alphabetical sort.
