Magic Album - Database Errors, Missed Cards and Pictures

Compiled list of DB discrepancies (fix completed)

 

Hello! I found a bunch of issues while updating images for MA. I realize this list is quite large; I can break it up into multiple tickets if that would be preferred.

Core Sets/Core Set 2020
  • "Elemental|Satyr" token is looking for the following for the Satyr side image: "\nAdd to Deck\nSatyr.jpg"

Expansions/Lost Caverns of Ixalan
  • All instances of the Gnome Soldier token have some incorrect fields:
    • Oracle Name, Color, P/T, Type, Oracle Text for all instance of Gnome Soldier are incorrect, and seem to have info for a Human Knight token
    • Printed Name, Printed Type, Printed Text are correct
    • Strange sort behavior when sorted by Oracle Name:
      • Two sided versions sort between Gnome and Gnome|Dinosaur
      • The single sided version sorts between Golem|Treasure and Map
    • Image name is correct (Gnome Soldier.jpg)
  • Signed art cards with multiple versions (ex: Akal Pakal, First Among Equals) have the Version field formatted as "Signed 1" instead of "1 Signed" like other sets
    • Similarly, image names are also looking for "Signed #" instead of "# Signed"
  • REX version tokens have the incorrect icon code: JURAS_C; should be JURRA_C

Expansions/Wilds of Eldraine
  • Monster/Sorcerer, Royal/Young Hero, Wicked/Cursed looking for images with / in the file name, which is not possible on Windows. In other instances, "/" is replaced with "-"

Expansions/March of the Machine
  • Incubator|Phyrexian tokens are not looking for images with version numbers appended:
    • There are 3 versions of Incubator, all with the same art but different collector numbers
    • There are 3 versions of Phyrexian, each with different art and collector number
    • They don't mix/match, so there are only 3 versions of the card total:
      • Incubator 1|Phyrexian 1, CN 0016|0016
      • Incubator 2|Phyrexian 2, CN 0017|0017
      • Incubator 3|Phyrexian 3, CN 0018|0018
    • The main DB fields seem correct for these, but the image paths are not

Expansions/Phyrexia: All Will Be One
  • Jumpstart Theme Card names are all caps when they are not for other sets
  • Phyrexian Germ tokens have the incorrect set icon code: PHONC_C should be PHYOC_C (it uses the Commander set icon)
  • "Phyrexian Goblin|Phyrexian Horror" token is looking for "Phyrexian Horror.jpg" instead of "Phyrexian Horror [1].jpg"
  • All foil-only dual-sided tokens that include Phyrexian Mite and Phyrexian Horror are looking for file names that are missing the space between the token name and the version
  • Same issue with the "Poison Counter|Phyrexian Mite" card in Inserts

Expansions/The Brothers' War
  • Double-Faced Substitute Card has version set to 1 but doesn't strictly need it since there's only one in the set (also applies to image file name)
  • The Punch Card insert has two sides listed, but both are looking for "Punch Card.jpg" instead of versioned images

Expansions/Strixhaven
  • Double-Faced Substitute Cards are looking for "X/9" in the image filename, which is not possible on Windows. Also looks like the Version and Number fields are swapped for these.

Expansions/Zendikar Rising
  • Art cards specify a front/back but are looking for the same image for each; other sets' art cards do not have backs in the database

Expansions/Throne of Eldraine
  • May not be an error, but I can't find any mention of an On An Adventure 019/020 variant being printed

Expansions/War of the Spark
  • "SpiritAdd to DeckSpirit" should just be Spirit (both name and image are incorrect)
  • Same for the "Dragon|SpiritAdd to DeckSpirit" two sided token, but only the name is incorrect for that one.

Expansions/Dominaria United
  • All variants of Tura Kennerud, Skyknight are looking for accented characters in the file name

  • P variants of DFCs don't seem to exist
  • S variants of DFC back sides looking for [2S] in filename instead of [S]

  • P variants of DFCs don't seem to exist

  • Set's picture folder is looking for "Street" instead of "Streets"
  • Indulge/Excess looking for 2 images, but it's a split card
  • Threefold Signal [P] doesn't seem to exist

Promos/Adventures in the Forgotten Realms
  • Manifest/Copy token seems to actually be from New Capenna Commander? Set IDs are 953 and 935

  • Sengir, The Dark Baron CN 722 should have version [Promo] in the DB and on the image filename

Special Sets/Commander Legends
  • Saproling|Copy looking for Copy.jpg, should be Copy [2].jpg
  • Saproling|Copy and Illusion|Saproling looking for Saporling.jpg, should be Saproling.jpg

  • As far as I can tell, no Display version of Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel was printed, as it is not one of the main 5 commanders

  • Commit|Memory and Dusk|Dawn is looking for 2 images as though it was a DFC, but it's a split card

  • Devil│Soldier looking for Soldier.jpg, should be Soldier [2].jpg

Special Sets/Zendikar Rising Commander
  • Beast|Saproling looking for Saporling.jpg, should be Saproling.jpg

  • The following card paths (including all variants for each) are looking for accented characters in the file name:

A quick addition (I added it to the report as well):

  • Sengir, The Dark Baron CN 722 should have version [Promo] in the DB and on the image filename

Almost everything is fixed and will be available with the next update.
I couldn't find "LIST - Jotun Owl Keeper" in the database. I've fixed "LIST - Jotun Grunt" instead.

My mistake on Jotun Owlkeeper, I had some extra pictures in the folder for that set at the time. Thank you for the fixes!

I checked through and the majority is looking fixed, awesome! :D A few issues are still outstanding:

Expansions/Lost Caverns of Ixalan
REX version tokens have the incorrect icon code: JURAS_C; should be JURRA_C
  • Icon code remains unchanged for Dinosaur, Treasure, and Dinosaur|Treasure, which are printed with the Jurassic World Collection icon on the front face (JURRA_C)

Expansions/Throne of Eldraine
May not be an error, but I can't find any mention of an On An Adventure 019/020 variant being printed
  • This card is still there; if it's a misprint or something else I'm just not seeing on scryfall/retailers, just ignore this :)


Expansions/Dominaria United
All variants of Tura Kennerud, Skyknight are looking for accented characters in the file name
  • Normal version is now correct; Showcase/Textured/Art Card/Art Card Signed are still looking for the accented ü in the image path

S variants of DFC back sides looking for [2S] in filename instead of [S]
  • These were correct before, I did not notice these were meld cards and not just normal DFCs. I'm very sorry for the bad info. Recorrections should be as follows:

    • Argoth, Sanctum of Nature back side image should be Titania, Gaea Incarnate [2S]
    • Mishra, Claimed by Gix back side image should be Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia [1S]
    • Phyrexian Dragon Engine back side image should be Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia [2S]
    • The Mightstone and Weakstone back side image should be Urza, Planeswalker [2S]
    • Titania, Voice of Gaea back side image should be Titania, Gaea Incarnate [1S]
    • Urza, Lord Protector back side image should be Urza, Planeswalker [1S]

Promos/Adventures in the Forgotten Realms
Manifest/Copy token seems to actually be from New Capenna Commander? Set IDs are 953 and 935
  • This token is now listed twice in NCC

Expansions/Lost Caverns of Ixalan

Icon code remains unchanged for Dinosaur, Treasure, and Dinosaur|Treasure, which are printed with the Jurassic World Collection icon on the front face (JURRA_C)

I changed every Object from JURRA_C to JURAS_C, that makes more sense i guess.

Everything else should be fixed. The fix will be available with the next update. Thanks again for the detailed walkthrough.
