I've tested this periodically for over a year, since first playing the game: losing event matches continues as normal, but the moment the match is decided as a win, the game crashes, with no error message. Seems to be for all types of events.
I've only seen one other player on YouTube play an event and they had no issues, but this has persisted for about a dozen different attempts across different snapshots and Java updates.
