Deathtouch / Ambush Viper Oddities (duplicate)

 

There are a number of oddities about how the AI responds to an Ambush Viper controlled by the player (and possibly other deathtouch creatures).

Sometimes when I have an ambush Viper on board enemy first strikers won't attack even though they would kill the Viper (and from what I've seen from the AI it would attack into other critters in similar situations). It's possible that the AI treats deathtouch as if it was the basilisk "stoning" ability - on offense and not always, though.

More importantly, it makes odd blocks against it. I seems to not register the fact that if it blocks the viper it's creature will die. I've seen the AI block an ambush Viper with Ernham Djinn and a Thicket Basilisk, and the most crazy situation was when 2 X Gaea's Skyfolk (2/2 flier) and an Ambush Viper were attacking it it choose to block the Viper with it's own large flier (blocking the skyfolk would obviously kill the skyfolk and leave the blocker alive).

EDIT: The AI just kept losing it's 0/7 walls blocking an Ambush Viper. Also, it seems to always prioritize blocking it over anything else for some reason (although I can't be 100% sure, I just see it chosing to block it over everything else if given a choice all the time).
