[07/23/11] DOTP 2012 MOD New Preview - Reanimator & Tinker

NEW! Another Update on DOTP 2012 MOD, Added 3 Decks. Titan Ramp, Soul Sister and Elves... :D

I managed to run an edited Data_Core.wad using Gibbed packer and hex editing Magic_2012.exe to Bypass the check. This Mod is WIP (Alpha Stage). Preview only because it has some bugs. I hope for some new tools like .DDS to .TDX converter :roll: and others :wink: .

Any idea when you will release a usable version, and will your method cause VAC issues?

This one will cause VAC issues, and is meant for the "offline" version of D12 until Gibbed finds a VAC workaraound.

Yup, that's one of the other issue besides the other problems Ive encountered. I hope we can get another workaround.

After some fiddling with the DOTP 2012 textures, I finally made custom backplate texture! :mrgreen:

Some are A8R8G8B8 textures to be converted to TDX ( supported by tdx plugin and paint.net :lol: )

I think a full backplate image is nicer than half ones...

Great work Kev.

Tell me sth, how did you bypassed the problem of packing with Gibbed packer?

Every time I try to pack with Gibbed packer the resulting wad is way bigger than the original, which results in the patched version of the game to crash.

In DotP we have Cascade, it means we can play cards not only from hand. Maybe Kev can build normal Jund and something "gold" (Like UG Madness)...I'm sure he can handle it.

This is amazing! This is definitely the greatest news I've heard in a while. I only play offline anyway, seeing as how I could never figure out how to play online (have original DotP from SKIDROW and DotP12 without Steam).

However I have a few questions:
I noticed that the cards in that deck are all included from the actual game - is it still not possible to put in cards that weren't included with the retail game?

Also, I noticed you unlocked Karn, so I assume that the Nicol Bolas deck will be able to be unlocked as well, right?

What's the point play only vs AI, he's stupid.
9$ - This is 1/10 of Jace, why don't buy this game then play with new Kev's deck vs someone...

As far as the new cards are concerned, I believe it is also possible, however I haven't confirmed this yet.

Yes, it is possible to unlock Bolas deck, and also the decks from DLC #1 (Ajani, Liliana and Ra).

There's also a secret menu but it's not very useful.
